Research and resolve fit and construction issues using appropriate resources Able to measure samples point by point when submitted by vendors. Review construction of garments and communicate to buyers and vendors of any sewing problems. Maintain and enter specs in Excel document. Knowledge of garment construction for fashion knit tops, bottoms, and outer wear. Work with PD Manager on any fit issues that develops during the pre-production/production process. Write fit comments and corrections on correcting patterns/samples when needed. Communicate with multiple domestic and overseas vendors; ensure clarity of construction, grading, and measurement requirements. Essential Job FunctionsMaintenance, Diagnostics & Repair Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all printing presses, slitters, and related production equipment, including custom machinery and robotics. Perform structured diagnostics to identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, and software failures. Respond to equipment downtime events with urgency, clear troubleshooting methodology, and effective resolution. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, failure modes, and corrective actions. Preventative Maintenance & Process Improvement Develop, execute, and continuously improve preventative maintenance schedules in coordination with the Production Team. Identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions to improve uptime, reliability, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Recommend equipment modifications, upgrades, and process improvements based on observed performance and failure patterns. Engineering Collaboration & Build Execution Execute machine builds, upgrades, and retrofits by following engineering drawings, build instructions, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation. Collaborate closely with Engineers to provide feedback on build feasibility, serviceability, and long-term maintainability. Assist with commissioning, testing, and validation of new equipment and process changes before full production rollout. Quality Ownership Own quality issues related to equipment performance and maintenance activities. Ensure machines operate within defined quality standards and production tolerances. Partner with QA and Production teams to resolve quality defects tied to mechanical or process issues. Training & Technical Leadership Train operators and technicians on proper equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and early issue detection. Provide technical leadership during complex repairs and equipment interventions. Support the development of standardized maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. Vendor & Parts Management Identify and manage external vendors for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machining support as needed. Source parts and materials with a focus on reliability, lead time, and cost effectiveness. Maintain an organized inventory of critical spare parts to minimize downtime. Communication, Safety & Collaboration Communicate clearly with Production, Engineering, QA, and Leadership regarding equipment status, risks, and improvement opportunities. Skills & Abilities Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software.
