Position Summary The Chemical Manufacturing Technician I will run all chemical manufacturing processes in compliance with all associated quality systems. Packs and ships all products. Maintains processes in their validated or compliant state. Major Roles and Responsibilities: •Reads and follows written and electronic batch records •Ability to record data in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) •Operates Powered Industrial Vehicles to move product, as needed •Handles lab equipment to monitor product dryness using lab moisture balance •Cleans reactors, filters and other process related equipment, process rooms, general cleaning •Records appropriate steps on batch record and associated documents •Understands and complies with quality regulations as they relate to job responsibilities •Complies with good housekeeping and safety rules •Understands various process pumps •Operates various process pumps •Troubleshoots process related equipment- type of equipment is dependent on operator level •Shovels product from bin into dryer feed hopper •Scoops product from drums and weighs amounts •Rolls drums onto and off from skids •Accurately weighs material on scales during final packaging in accordance with packaging documentation. •Monitors in-process batches with regard to temperature, clarity, volume, etc. •Documents value points per SOP •Takes bags off skids and empties contents into reactor •Changes cartridges on various filters •Continuous Processes •Frequent Respirator use •Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management Qualifications: •High School diploma or GED. •Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations using a calculator. •Ability to accurately read and take measurements including reading a tape measure. •Ability to read and interpret/follow production procedures. •Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Resolve complex service problems. **This position is fully onsite 5 days a week in Wilkes-Barre, PA.** Duties and Responsibilities Design medium expansions to the distribution system to serve new customers and new load of existing customers. Meet with residential and small single/three phase business customers or their agent(s) to identify their service requirements, explain ED's requirements, and process for extending service, and authorize new service entrance locations. Produce the necessary design documents to accomplish the project, obtain the necessary right-of-way and permits, stake out the project in the field, deliver the design to C&M, and schedule the construction to be completed in time to meet the customer's needs. Identify and design medium distribution system projects to improve the safety, reliability, and adequacy of service to existing customers. This includes secondary modernization, re-sectionalizing, load balancing, transformer and recloser change out, and small distribution line conversion, relocations and end of life replacement projects. Produce the necessary design documents to accomplish these projects, obtain the required rights-of-way and permits, stake out the project in the field, and deliver the design to C&M in a timely manner Troubleshoot and resolve service problems such as fluctuating lights, stray voltage, and adequate voltage. Meet with customers to resolve issues regarding clearance, location, and condition of ED facilities and other related matters. Assist in the restoration of service due to storm damage or equipment failure. Provide coverage for other technicians during their absence. Review all mapping updates resulting from work produced to assure accurate representation. Perform other related duties. Follow up/monitor customer service questions and confirm timely UGI standard installation of facilities. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of UGI's distribution line construction standards, methods, and equipment. Knowledge of National Electric Safety Code and National Electric Code. The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, calibrating and improving the performance of production equipment, plant facilities and testing equipment at the factory. The Electrical Technician supports daily productivity, quality and cost-effective operation to improve production efficiency and effectiveness. Job Title: Electronics Technician Prepares repair standards for systems or items of equipment of complex and conventional electronic equipment. Conducts research of technical literature and performance tests on the equipment in order to formulate specific requirements for incorporation into the repair standards. Outlines tests to be performed, test methods to follow, equipment to be used, and performance to be achieved on the required equipment. Specifies test equipment and recommends substitutes depending upon availability. Assists in development of Provisioning Requirements, Repair Concepts, Test Methods/Procedures and other logistic requirements. Address shop personnel requests for technical assistance with problems encountered with technical documentation such as Repair Standards, Technical Manuals/Orders, Modification Work Orders, etc. Work with engineers to solve engineering problems and incorporation of engineering changes. Assist engineers with analysis of all known factors to establish methods of approach for a solution. Analysis includes research of specifications and standards, both military and commercial for availability of material and services. Checks designs to ensure adherence of required application to drawing standards. Participates in creation of models, manufacturing drawings, and complete Technical Data Packages (TDP) and able to be point of contact for TDP development and issues. Coordinates with the Manufacturing Cell with regards to utilization of fabrication tools, equipment, materials and techniques. Develops cost estimates, including research of material, and development of man-hour requirements for fabrication. Use Enterprise Resource Planning System to create/maintain production data (labor hours, cost center number, setup time, etc.), inspection requirements, Bill of Materials, Material Masters, and fabrication routes. Required Qualifications: Two year Associate of Science (AS) Degree in relevant technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Preferably an AS degree in electrical or electronic engineering/technology. Accreditation of educational institution must come from an institution recognized by either the United States Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
