Your primary mission is to re-terminate and add I/O in tight control boxes, integrate safety switches, and commission variable-frequency drives (VFDs) - all within carefully planned maintenance windows that minimize downtime. Flights, mileage, lodging, and daily per-diem are covered, and every assignment is scheduled in advance so you can focus on high-impact technical work, not last-minute call-outs.

Install and verify safety switches, safety relays, and e-stops; perform functional checks with on-site operations staff before restart.
Terminate, program-assist, and test VFDs up to 50 HP; confirm proper motor rotation, parameter sets, and interlock signals.
Coordinate with plant maintenance or controls engineers to isolate equipment, complete work, and restore operation inside designated shutdown windows (typically 1-2 hours).
Inspect existing panel layout; identify clearance, heat-dissipation, or wiring issues and propose corrective actions.
Travel to manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and process facilities per a rolling project calendar.
Maintain a neat, hazard-free workspace; comply with NFPA 70E arc-flash and company LOTO procedures at all times.
Capture as-built redlines, terminal torque readings, photos, and commissioning checklists on a company-issued tablet; submit digital reports daily.
Assist with inventory of ferrules, wire markers, terminal blocks, and spare VFDs; keep shared toolkits (crimpers, megger, oscilloscope) calibrated and ready.
Perform other controls-related duties as assigned by the Project Lead.
