Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position will perform the assembling of major components, and will perform minor machine set-ups, general maintenance, and area housekeeping. This position will require decisions determining the quality of the products and services being offered. Physical effort requirements consist of regular lifting, pushing and pulling material.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assemble major components using various machines and tools.
Solder materials
Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company.
Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Work attendance must be exemplary.
Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
Participate in the processes of continuous improvement.
Operator is responsible for all area housekeeping.
Ability to effectively perform similar positions on the floor at any point in time.
Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization's goals.

Our Robot Technicians will execute robot fleet repair throughout the shift, troubleshoot unexpected situations that may arise, and work effectively to keep our robots in operation.
Job Responsibilities:
Technical Tasks:
Maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots through daily maintenance and repair tasks. Which can include but is not limited to - diagnosing unforeseen problems, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment (tires, electronics, motors).
Carrying out preventive maintenance activities and upgrades on robots and infrastructure. Monitoring and servicing our internal systems, running tests and completing reports, and completing updates or improvements to existing systems as appropriate.
Perform root cause analysis to identify the causes of faults or problems and systematically develop a solution to prevent/solve underlying issues.
Operational Tasks:
Accurately document all tasks/partner or internal messaging related to service concerns or robot-related issues using appropriate applications/tools.
Maintain a clean and organized hub by performing accurate spare parts inventory audits twice a week and ensuring all tools are accounted for and returned to their proper location after use.
Work with our engineering team to identify any potential improvements regarding robot health and design.
Assist our Operational Team and vendors/merchants by providing in-person assistance through performing weekly Merchant Preflights to understand any service-related issues, provide operational and troubleshooting assistance related to Starship-provided devices, and act as a Starship brand representative while interacting with clients.
Occasionally support our Operational Service team by assisting with Robot field rescues or operational services tasks when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A passion for robots and innovative technologies.
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or another related STEM field.
Previous experience in Technical Support and with any service desk application is beneficial, but not required.
Good knowledge regarding mechanics, electronics, and IT.
Excellent client-facing skills.
Self-starter; takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin projects independently.
Experience & Education Requirements:
Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, CLI tools, and scripting preferred, but not required.
Hobby projects in electronics or mechanics.
Previous experience in managing a large fleet of devices.
Physical Requirements:
Movement ability to frequent usage of wrists, hands and finger dexterity to movements such as constant typing, as well full-body exertion while wrangling the robot fleet.
Occasional lifting of items with weight up to 70 lbs.
Comfortable riding an ebike on various terrain.

Overnight travel is required. Construction EngineeringTechnician travels in company vehicle or personal vehicle to project site staying near project site during the work week with expenses paid. Other Information:
This position is subject to drug and alcohol testing under the authority of the Federal Railroad Administration. The selected candidate will be required to pass a DOT FRA drug test as a condition of employment in this position.
The selected applicant will also be required to complete a back-ground check. An applicant with a confirmed positive test result in the past (or the equivalent) that has not successfully completed all rehabilitation program requirements and follow-up testing requirements is not eligible for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
A Controls Technician performs maintenance and repair of building controls and automations
systems. This type of work involves most of the following: diagnosing control system concerns
and ensuring occupancy comfort; troubleshooting local controllers, communication wiring,
programs, and schedules; ensuring proper set-points, schedules, and sequences of operation are
correctly programmed; performing preventative maintenance tasks such as point to point check-
out, sensor calibration, and software back-up. A controls technician should work to ensure
overall occupancy comfort is achieved while keeping focused on energy management. An
experienced controls technician should be comfortable interacting with the building occupants in
person as well as over the phone, and should be able to recognize and identify opportunities
to conserve building energy as it relates to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Technical Tasks:

Operational Tasks:

Summary
The Controls Technician will utilize their hands-on experience to maintain, install and support industrial automation systems. This position is responsible for programming control systems, troubleshooting existing and new plant systems, repairing and rebuilding plant components, and documentation for upgrades and new installations. This role serves as a key bridge between the maintenance and engineering teams, ensuring practical, real-world experience informs all technical projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnose and resolve electric, software, and mechanical issues including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
Develop and modify PLC and HMI applications, interfaces, and embedded controls.
Perform system checks and calibrations to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
Create and maintain electrical schematics, P&ID's, and BOMs for new and modified equipment.
Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new controls and automated equipment.
Assist the maintenance department in troubleshooting and resolving electrical and control issues.
Assist other controls, engineering and maintenance team members to define and implement the controls portion of projects.
Participate in root cause analysis for recurring failures to enhance system performance.
Technical support and training to maintenance and operation teams on control systems, new equipment, and safety procedures.
Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
Develop, modify, and document PLC, HMI, and SCADA to improve system reliability, functionality, and performance.
Participate in the setup and commissioning of new processes and upgrades.
Ensure the safety of control systems, including design, installation, operation, and maintenance.
Identify and install instrumentation that will contribute to overall process control systems.
