This position also instructs inmates in the special skills necessary to operate a Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant through an apprentice on-the-job training program designed to develop experience and skills necessary to assume and fulfill the position of Operator of a water or sewer utility. The incumbent in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: * Operates and maintains Water Treatment Plant and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant in compliance with the DEP permit and DEP rules and regulations. * Carries out the preventive maintenance program for both plants.
