In this role, the Instrumentation Technician will maintain, calibrate, service, troubleshoot and repair measuring and test equipment (M&TE), process instrumentation, production equipment controls, analytical field equipment, and process control systems used in utilities and facilities areas. Support commissioning, startup, and upgrades of instrumentation and control systems. Maintain accurate calibration and maintenance documentation in compliance with GMP and FDA requirements. Collaborate with operations and engineering to ensure safe and reliable delivery of utilities and compliant wastewater processing. Assist in maintaining and updating instrument loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control schematics. Follow all site safety policies, including lockout and confined space entry procedures. Education, Experience & Skill Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation and controls maintenance for industrial, utility, or manufacturing facilities. Technical diploma, associate degree, or military training in Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Automation, or related field. Proficiency in calibration of temperature, pressure, flow, level, analytical, and environmental monitoring instruments. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics. Experience troubleshooting PLC or DCS-based control systems. Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated industries. Valid driver's license is required. Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting. Must have knowledge of a production environment including boilers, chillers, compressors, and processing instrumentation. Must be skilled in troubleshooting various instrumentation utilizing schematics, tech manuals, and flowcharts. Capability to work within and promote a team environment. Prepare and complete pre-sale product cost estimates from customer requirements Utilize CAD Software to modify and create drawings Maintain the tracking system for open quote status Enter and maintain part master data and production router information in the company ERP system Verify previous estimates and adjust estimates per revision on internal process changes Maintain estimating templates and standard practices Work to lower costs and improve service levels Assist in analyzing quote metrics and variances to contribute to the continuous improvement of quotes Partner with the purchasing department to source new product materials from existing suppliers and assist in sourcing from new suppliers to determine optimal solution Partner with Manufacturing Engineers to develop and cost new or highly custom products Perform first run and work order change reviews and make corrections as well as recommendations as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Electronics Technician - Rapid PCBA is a member of our technician team in the Power Tool Electronics Laboratory. Your main responsibility will be populating printed circuit boards to deliver Electronic Prototypes on time, with high quality and with a continuous improvement mindset. You'll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: Setup and operate automated assembly equipment for prototype PCBAs. Collaborate with all members of the Rapid PCBA team regarding material readiness and setup status. Provide post assembly manufacturing feedback regarding best practices Assist in completing preventive maintenance on equipment. Effectively communicate project delays and updates. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Work to improve productivity while maintaining quality standards Assist in continuous improvement and process implementation activities. What TOOLS you'll bring with you: Associates Degree from a two-year college or technical school. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Strong knowledge of operating soldering equipment typically used for both densely populated SMT circuits as well as wiring for power electronics. Ability to read schematics. IPC knowledge.
