What You'll Do:
As an Electromechanical Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery. You'll work with both mechanical and electrical systems across high-speed stamping presses, cold forming machines, and automated equipment in a dynamic production environment.
Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment using hand tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability
Diagnose and resolve issues using technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement
Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE
Support process improvements and participate in ongoing training
What You'll Need:
Technical degree in a related field, journeyman's card, or 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Proficiency in reading complex electrical schematics and code books
Broad knowledge of electrical codes, electronic controls, and electrical theory
Experience with line setups, inspections, and electrical testing equipment
Strong math skills (fractions, percentages)
Nice to Haves:
Experience with PLCs and drives (Allen Bradley, Siemens)

Our client is seeking a skilled Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support the reliable operation of a Central Utilities and Waste Treatment Plant serving a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility located in North Chicago, IL. In this role, the Instrumentation Technician will maintain, calibrate, service, troubleshoot and repair measuring and test equipment (M&TE), process instrumentation, production equipment controls, analytical field equipment, and process control systems used in utilities and facilities areas. Will be required to work on a variety of electrical, electronic, mechanical, process control systems, and essential plant utilities: steam, nitrogen, water, and HVAC, and ensure compliant handling of wastewater and byproducts.
Key Responsibilities:
Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and modify instrumentation and control devices for steam, nitrogen, water, HVAC, and waste treatment systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on transmitters, sensors, analyzers, valves, controllers, and PLC/DCS systems.
Diagnose and correct issues in pneumatic, electronic, and digital control systems.
Support commissioning, startup, and upgrades of instrumentation and control systems.
Maintain accurate calibration and maintenance documentation in compliance with GMP and FDA requirements.

Proficiency in calibration of temperature, pressure, flow, level, analytical, and environmental monitoring instruments.

This role in summary
This position uses knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to install, maintain, and repair electromechanical equipment. Duties include use of technical manuals, blueprints, and/or schematics to troubleshoot, correct and/or improve pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Your responsibilities will include
* Adjust and maintain equipment processing parameters within outlined OEM specifications.
* Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, replace, calibrate, and install components of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Minimum requirements
* 3 years of industrial maintenance experience. Technical diploma and/or associates degree in relevant field preferred and/or a background with an emphasis on automated systems in a manufacturing environment.
* Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to understand complex diagrams and schematics.
Preferred skills and experiences
* Associates degree in electromechanical technology or similar area.

Partner with the purchasing department to source new product materials from existing suppliers and assist in sourcing from new suppliers to determine optimal solution
Partner with Manufacturing Engineers to develop and cost new or highly custom products
Perform first run and work order change reviews and make corrections as well as recommendations as needed

The Electronics Technician - Rapid PCBA is a member of our technician team in the Power Tool Electronics Laboratory. Your main responsibility will be populating printed circuit boards to deliver Electronic Prototypes on time, with high quality and with a continuous improvement mindset.
You'll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
Setup and operate automated assembly equipment for prototype PCBAs.
Collaborate with all members of the Rapid PCBA team regarding material readiness and setup status.
Provide post assembly manufacturing feedback regarding best practices
Assist in completing preventive maintenance on equipment.
Effectively communicate project delays and updates.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Work to improve productivity while maintaining quality standards

What TOOLS you'll bring with you:
