Supporting course preparation through activities such as literature review
Scoring student assignments

Leading small discussion or activity groups (e.g. such as Prac 0 supervision groups)
Attending occasional lectures - if requested by faculty (attendance for personal benefit does not qualify); budget does not permit TAs to attend every class session or class sessions in their entirety
Teaching in areas of experience as requested by the faculty member
Record keeping for the course as requested by the faculty member
Facilitating lab/review meetings as requested by the faculty member
Meeting individually with students for assistance in the student's academic formation and growth in the course content area
Developing or maintaining a communication structure that allows the Professor and the class to interact outside of the classroom (includes Canvas).

Position Summary and Responsibilities
Working out of their home, the Health and Physical Education Adjunct Teacher will manage subject-specific instructional programs. Compensation will be based on the specific course workload and number of enrolled students. Your impact

During that time, TAs will be expected to provide both synchronous and asynchronous support to Learners, ensuring their learning, comprehension, and retention of program content.

A day in the life
Expectations during live (synchronous) sessions:
Attend and proactively engage in the mandatory Pre-Program TA Onboarding. Dates and times will be announced.
Monitor appropriate Slack channels (#c1-TA, #live-chat, #extra-help, and other relevant channels) for Learner questions and answer them promptly.
Check-in with Learners after each live session by asking how they're feeling about the content, if they have any questions, or if there is anything that they need further clarity.
Facilitate breakout rooms during lecture time, when applicable.
Assist in keeping the session progressing should the Lead Instructor experience technical difficulty or is otherwise unable to deliver the lecture.
Expectations during days of no live sessions:
Monitor appropriate Slack channels for Learner questions and answer them within 24 hours.
Foster discussion by posing questions of your own and sharing relevant links in the #resources channel or in other appropriate Slack channels.
Use the #c1-TA channel to share any important information during a lecture that needs the attention of Correlation One staff or fellow Expert Network staff.
Review content materials (including lab, projects, extended cases, etc..) for the next lecture to ensure you are prepared to answer Learner questions.
Hold up to six (6) Individual Office Hours via Zoom with Learners in the program so they can ask any additional questions or get support as necessary.
Grade Learner submissions of exercises and projects within seven (7) days of submission.
Support continuous program improvement by providing thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team via Weekly Write Ups.
Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week's accomplishments and challenges and provide insights on each Learner. This is due by Sunday at 8:00pm ET each week.
Attend and participate in the weekly staff meeting with Correlation One team and other Expert Network staff.
Attend all scheduled meetings with your camera on, ensuring active engagement and professional presence.
Your expertise
3-5 years of professional work experience in Cloud Support, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, Networking, DevOps, etc.
A desire to support students in expanding their careers in technical roles

Assists the classroom teacher in planning, organizing, and implementing individual and group activities to meet the social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of infant, toddler and preschool children. Will observe and record specific behavioral data as described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework and routinely communicate observations and progress with teachers, program staff, and parents. Responsible for meeting Head Start performance standards, following the agency policies and procedures, and Child Care Licensing rules and regulations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Provides classroom leadership in the absence of the teacher to ensure consistency of the daily schedule, implementation of the lesson plan and other activities. Always provides direct supervision of students while in the classroom.
Ensures classroom is set up and materials are prepared for implementation of the daily schedule including all learning activities, all meals, story time, and other activities.
Assists the teacher in creating a nurturing learning environment through communication, play, and socialization that supports the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical and language development of children ages birth-5.
Assist with planning and implementing learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment. Participates in weekly lesson plan development with teaching team.
Conduct standardized and structured assessments, within mandated timeframes, for each child that provide ongoing information to evaluate the child's speech and developmental level. Utilize the information from all observations to determine a child's strengths and needs, inform and adjust strategies to better support individualized learning and improve teaching practices. Enter all observations into appropriate systems following documentation procedures.
Observe, document, and address challenging behaviors to determine cause and implement preventive measures, teach a new behavior, communication, and/or social skill to minimize or eliminate the behavior.
Follow appropriate practices to keep children safe during all activities, including, at a minimum:
Reporting of suspected or known child abuse and neglect to Franklin County Children Services according to agency procedures and the Ohio Revised Code Section 2151.421.
