POSITION SUMMARY:
The Case Management Assistant (CMA) functions as a member of the case management team assigned to coordinate the care and services for assigned patients for an episode of illness or treatment in collaboration with the patient, family, physician, patient care team, and payors. The Case Management Assistant utilizes communication, organizational, and problem solving skills to implement the plans and interventions defined by the Case Manager, RN and Case Manager, Social Worker. The Case Management Assistant promotes and evaluates the effective utilization of resources using current knowledge, awareness of community services, and assuming a pivotal role with the patient care team to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes. The CMA will maintain the UR and department phone line. The CMA will process UR information for the CM team and enter data into the current computer system.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Two years experience in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, or a medical setting OR an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a human service or health related field
Two years computer experience, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Desired:
Previous experience as a Unit Secretary, CNA, or Medical Assistant
Previous experience in a case or utilization management setting
Previous experience in medical back office, including insurance and billing
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of medical terminology. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet access and use. Skilled in the collection and analysis of data, and assessment of data integrity. Ability to learn state and federal funding sources and local community services requirements. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Demonstrates evidence of strong skills in confidentiality, integrity, creativity, and initiative. Demonstrates ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and handle confidential/sensitive situations and information with tact and sensitivity. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Must be self-motivated, flexible, detail oriented, and work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Acupuncturist is a licensed professional who provides patient care in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. Treatments will be performed in the acute and outpatient settings and will be in addition to traditional medical/treatment services. As part of Integrative care, the Acupuncturist will work in conjunction with other health care team members to ensure holistic and coordinated care is achieved.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum
Two years recent acupuncture experience
Desired
Experience in program development
Work with Cancer, Cardiac and/or Rehab patient populations
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum
Current licensure with the California Board of Acupuncture
Current CPR recognition
Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff office
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Work well in an interdisciplinary team model with good communication and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently. Desire to work on enhancement of Integrative Services offerings. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant (MA) is an unlicensed individual who performs basic administrative, clerical (front office) tasks and routine medical (back office) tasks and procedures under direct supervision of a licensed physician, designated advanced practice provider or Registered Nurse in a clinical setting. They assist the medical providers and may perform within the scope of practice of a medical assistant such as: support of clinic operations, rooming activities such as collect/record patient data including medical histories, patient questionnaires, medications, height, weight vital signs, pain, fall risk, and prepare patients for clinician evaluation. The MA may apply and remove dressings, administer medications (oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and inhaled), remove sutures, perform lab draws, participate/perform in-clinic procedures and other similar treatments and/or procedures within the MA scope of practice and organizational policy related to the specific service line.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Must meet at least one of the following:
Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
Completed a formal medical training program of the United States Armed Forces AND one year back-office patient care experience in a medical office.
Previous medical training such as an EMT, Nurse Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant AND one year back-office patient care experience in a medical office.
Associate degree or higher in a clinical healthcare field and one-year back-office patient care experience in a medical office.
Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant
Desired:
California certification as a Certified Medical Assistant
Experience within a specific service line specialty to which applying.
Medical office experience to include front and or back-office operations.
Previous phlebotomy experience, if required by specialty service
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Current CPR certification
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must be skilled in both front and back-office clinic operations. Familiarity with tasks such as, but not limited to medication administration (administering oral, subcutaneous/intramuscular injections and inhaled medications, as applicable), performing blood draws, and supporting in clinic procedural services as required by specialty. Must be able to interact professionally and effectively communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and public. Must perform duties in a professional and respectful manner. Must demonstrate basic medical / technical competence, a general knowledge of point of care laboratory equipment and capable of utilizing clerical and computer skills for a variety of medical office support functions. Must show sensitivity for the patient and their family and maintain strict confidentiality. Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position and other clinic-based duties as required to support patient care within service, as applicable.
