You will be responsible for providing leadership in the daily operations of survey activities including construction layout, boundary, topographic, and as built surveys. The Senior Surveyor will be responsible for providing production surveying duties, applying diversified knowledge of principles and practices in areas of land surveying related fields, and providing surveying assistance under leadership from a Senior Land Surveyor. This position is responsible for calculations and surveying judgement based on surveying experience, documented practices, systems, and examples.
Principal Responsibilities:
Perform complex survey duties associated with construction stakeout and boundary, topographic, and as built surveys.
Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title reports.
Complete boundary reductions, boundary determinations, and mapping/topographic field reductions in CAD/survey software.
Responsible to maintain and verify accuracy of project survey data and managing company standards survey database; Review survey production and final products, processed data collection, and field notes for quality control.

Join IMEG as an Electrical Engineering Intern in Germantown, MD, and spark your career with real-world project experience. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems for a variety of building types. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers, work within project budgets, and see how your contributions help meet client goals-all while building the skills, knowledge, and professional connections to launch your future in electrical engineering.
Principal Responsibilities
Assist in designing discipline-specific systems per code and IMEG standards;
Research commercially available equipment;
Support client relations, maintain project design notebooks, and prepare permanent record documentation;
Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines and suppliers;
Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while tracking progress;
Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final checks;
Prepare and issue addendum information;
Conduct job site observations and perform services per contract requirements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required;
Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred;
Strong interest in design consulting;
Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software;
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook;
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups;

Salary Range $22.00- $24.00. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
