    ENT and Allergy Associates is seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time Senior Regional Nurse for our Brooklyn and Manhattan office locations. The purpose of this position is to oversee and provide nursing support services to the Nursing Director, Allergy Physicians and Allergy Nurses within assigned offices. Salary: $108,000/year Management responsibilities Train and monitor staff performance. Train new hires on ENTA clinical procedures Reinforce EMR/EHR/ICS training. Assist Nursing Director with scheduling & staff utilization. Provide direct clinical supervision. Oversee daily operation of allergy departments in various offices. Train and monitor staff on administrative items such as: Order and recall reports. Prior Authorizations GHI & 1199 Task boxes Fax folders Provide technical support to allergy staff nurses in any location (by phone, as needed) Provide support when physicians request assistance with staff issues or training. Interview candidates for open nursing positions Monitor and approve staff nurse(s)' biweekly timecards. Implement and communicate all allergy nursing policies and procedures. Attend allergy nursing management meetings. Function as the liaison with the Central Mixing Facility Cover other offices as needed. Cover Saturdays as needed. Help set up new offices/ new physicians in the region. Provide monthly updates of all offices. Provide weekly updates of all trainees. Provide staff coverage as needed, essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Review schedule and direct patients to appropriate office location (shot room, testing, physician treatment room) Take patient vital signs, as directed. Perform spirometries and/or Niox testing, as directed. Apply skin prick testing and read test results, as directed. Apply intradermal testing and read test results, as directed. Apply advanced testing (i.e., Penicillin, Venom) at physician's discretion. Review treatment log and administer allergy immunotherapy, as directed. Administer Xolair treatment, as directed. Review and implement anaphylaxis protocol, as needed. Other Clinical Duties: Prepare serum trays, syringes, gauze, and alcohol for allergy shot rooms. Prepare rooms and test trays before and at the end of the day. Refill testing trays, as needed. Check on a monthly basis all emergency allergy equipment and restock as needed (i.e., emergency kit, oxygen tank, AED, Emergency kit) Maintain post-injection resting rooms; restock patient information brochures, etc. Respond to patient telephone inquiries, as directed. Complete assigned tasks in EHR Check and record refrigerator temperature on a daily basis. Personal Attributes: Must possess RN degree, BSN preferred. Positive attitude is a must. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong supervisory skills Can manage a multitude of tasks simultaneously; able to prioritize duties. Anticipate need for information. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
