What You'll Do: * Initiate, monitor, and troubleshoot batch-distillation processes: Oversee the entire batch-distillation process from start to finish, ensuring the safe handling and processing of multiple hazardous chemicals. This includes setting up equipment, monitoring the distillation process, identifying and resolving any issues that arise, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. * Collect and submit chemical samples: Use a variety of glass and Teflon vials to collect chemical samples at different stages of the process. Accurately label and document each sample before submitting them to the laboratory for detailed analysis. Ensure that all samples are handled according to safety and quality standards. * Perform preventative maintenance on equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain distillation equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation. This includes cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts as necessary. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the supervisor. * Utilize SAP for production management: Use SAP software to manage the production schedule, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and according to plan. This includes creating and completing work orders, transacting inventory, and printing labels for finished products. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the system to support production planning and reporting. * Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards: Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements related to the handling of hazardous chemicals and the operation of distillation equipment.
