Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers; inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding; nails covers on wooden crates and/or binds containers; affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons; posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
· Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
· Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages; examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
· Gathers and delivers mail; routes items to departments.
· Receives and logs items into computer system.
· Maintains a clean working area.
· Tracks inventory and maintains an accurate physical inventory by logging all transactions into the software system; tracks all packages not received or not logged into the system daily; tracks all packing slips and files daily.
· Controls costs through recycling and other activities.
· Tracks and locates package for customer.
· May deliver packages on emergency basis; scan parts and prepares for the cleaning room; place parts in bins and pulls when ready for repair as needed; operate tier-lift truck or use handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area; direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
· May be required to train entry level employees.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:
Essential KSAs:
· High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Must be able to obtain Powered Industrial Vehicle Certification.

SUMMARY: The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for order filing, receiving inventory, preparing, and shipping orders, and miscellaneous duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associate consistent with Core Behaviors
Responsible for promoting culture of safety
Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips
Accurately sort, maintain, and stage product
Reject damaged goods and forward to Purchasing for processing
Put away stock ensuring proper labeling and placement
Receive purchase orders, pick product and package for shipping
Check items to be shipped against picking ticket to assure quantities, destinations and routing are correct
Log non-conforming product and verify returned goods
Responsible for cycle count of inventory and to work with the Purchasing department to correct discrepancies
Maintain accurate records and a clean and organized workspace
Technical responsibilities include performing hands-on tasks, primarily using trade or computer hardware and software, including spreadsheets, data bases, and data processing
Perform other duties as assigned
Perform all work in accordance with ISO processes and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be proficient with basic computer operation and knowledgeable about position (P21, Clippership, World Ship)
Proficient knowledge of basic mathematical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Must be punctual and act with a sense of urgency
Must be proficient at following ISO procedures
Basic product knowledge

SCHEDULE
4-day workweek
10-hour shifts (standard 40 hours/week; overtime as needed for business needs)
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate with a strong work ethic who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety and quality. If you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a dependable work history, we want you on our dynamic warehouse team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pick products accurately, minimize damage, and place items correctly in totes.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, including immediate spill cleanup.
Keep temperature-controlled areas closed to protect product quality.
Complete mandatory monthly training sessions.
Handle products carefully to avoid damage; ensure proper pricing and date coding.
Follow safety regulations and participate in safety meetings.
Assist with unloading trucks and organizing the warehouse.
Safely drive and park trucks in the yard for efficient loading/unloading.
Start and monitor refrigeration units (reefers) to maintain proper temperatures.
Complete Smith Training Systems certification to enhance safe driving practices.
Take temperatures of all inbound products, record every reading, document out-of-spec items, and report.
Act as a yard jockey (if applicable): move trucks around the yard and into docks; perform safety checks; secure trucks and chock wheels.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by leads and supervisors to support team objectives.
SCHEDULE
All hours as needed, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
21 years of age or older.
Good basic math skills.
Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
Able to read and speak basic English.
Meet and maintain required productivity per hour.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Lift up to 75 lbs.
Push/pull up to 250 lbs.
Operate a 2-4 wheel handcart.
Step safely in/out and operate a company route truck per standard practices and DOT regulations.
Perform kneeling, squatting, turning, and reaching (over shoulder height, at waist level, and from the floor).
Work in 35 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit environments (per food safety standards).
Highly motivated and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
