Job Summary/Purpose:
The Meter to Cash (M2C) team is seeking an analyst with a passion for project management and process improvement to support improvement initiatives across the department. M2C supports a range of processes that are critical to the customer experience and Entergy's revenue stream. This position will work with senior analysts and functional managers to define scope and objectives of a wide variety of projects to operationalize effective and efficient business practices across all M2C teams. This role requires developing and maintaining an understanding of M2C business processes and systems to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste. This position will support improvement projects, develop solutions, document processes, and develop visual management tools to support tracking progress of initiatives. This position is expected to keep key stakeholders within the M2C team updated on progress, hurdles, timelines, etc. on key initiatives via various mediums including Power BI and Power Point.
This position will be responsible for supporting other M2C groups and leading them through the process improvement methodology to develop and implement innovative technological and business solutions, to enable the business to meet its objectives. The role is highly visible and will work with multiple stakeholders, spanning across several portfolios, corporate teams, IT groups, and external partners. This role will interact periodically with senior leadership and provide tactical and strategic support on multiple levels.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Supports initiatives to drive enhancements to the M2C processes, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Agile methodologies.
Facilitates continuous improvement exercises and coaching to identify and design solutions to improve the M2C processes.
Creates and manages engaging presentations in Power Point and Power BI to provide concise and timely updates to all stakeholders.
Aligns stakeholders around initiative vision and keeps them informed on progress and key performance indicators.
Provides performance transparency through metrics and reporting to drive execution of enhancements timely and accurately and with urgency.
Reviews functions and structures of business area to avoid overlapping and duplication.
Manages data documentation using a consistent methodology and nomenclature to ensure that analyses are preserved for future use.
Performs and leads quality control analysis to ensure accuracy and rationale.
Works within the scope and framework of larger projects defined by senior analysts.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field required or equivalent work experience.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
* Developing analysis in support of regulatory filings and discovery responses.
* Routine interfacing with other internal organizations, including the finance and accounting organizations, to gather and analyze information in support of regulatory filings.
* Drafting and reviewing testimony and Company comments in LPSC rulemakings and proceedings.
* Drafting and reviewing responses to discovery for LPSC regulatory proceedings.
* Supporting regulatory outreach efforts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
* Bachelor degree from an accredited university in the areas of accounting, economics, engineering, finance or related field. Masters' degree desired.
Minimum experience required of the position
* Analyst I: 0 years
* Analyst II: 1-3 years of relevant experience
* Analyst III: 4-6 years of experience in various functional areas within the electric utility industry
* Analyst Sr: 6+ years of experience in various functional areas within the electric utility industry
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
* Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills as well as attention to detail.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as exhibited by the ability to express complex subjects orally and in writing in terms understandable to those without extensive backgrounds in the regulatory arena. Professional writing sample requested with application.
* Self-starter that requires little supervision.
* Ability to develop detailed spreadsheets as well as perform detailed analysis and convert this analysis into a meaningful summary for which to make recommendations, required.
* Excellent organizational skills, ability to organize and prioritize work.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
* Willing and able to perform other duties as required and learn new processes and technologies.
* Knowledge of electric utility business and the regulatory process, including the principles of cost-of-service, rate design, system dispatch, generation planning, and regulatory accounting desirable.
* Advanced PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office and other mainframe business applications.
