TEAM UP WITH US! The Engine Field Service Trainee is responsible for assisting the Senior Field Service Technician for performing certain repairs and maintenance. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? Applications Engineering Department Objective: To evaluate design requests and assist in the pre-sale design and costing of water and wastewater treatment equipment, and to provide technical assistance to both Internal and External Customers including Consulting Engineers, end users, Plant Operators, Sales Representatives, Cost Estimating, and Customer Service with the end goal of securing systems orders for the company. Interns within the Applications Engineering department may be tasked with the following: Evaluate design requests and assist in the preparation of preliminary designs and costing of wastewater treatment equipment for biological and filtration treatment systems. Determine electrical and mechanical equipment costs for preliminary process designs. Performs operations, testing and reporting within pilot studies to meet objectives in coordination with other departments, at customer sites. Provide technical assistance to Internal and External clients including Consulting Engineers, End Users, Plant Operators, Sales Representatives, Sales Cost Estimating, and Customer Service. Prior coursework in wastewater systems is strongly encouraged for this position. Research & Development Department Objective: To conduct applied research on existing products and new technologies in the fields of wastewater treatment, reclamation and water treatment. Interns within the Research & Development department may be tasked with the following: Manage data collection and interpretation to prepare effective, meaningful statistical evaluations, graphs, and tabulations within written and oral reports for accessibility by other internal departments, and external customers. Use and maintain process simulation and modeling tools to support internal departments. Due to the location of testing services, candidates for this position must have access to a vehicle throughout their term of employment (mileage reimbursement available). In this role you will get to: Provide design and drafting support using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Assist with engineering tasks supporting ETO pillars such as schedule adherence, submittals, and quality. Contribute to the design and development of customer‑focused electrical products. Complete assigned engineering projects from concept through execution. Participate in production, engineering, and product design activities to gain cross‑functional exposure. Learn and apply Trystar's engineering processes and ETO workflows. Communicate progress regularly through milestone reporting, weekly 1:1s, and bi‑weekly team meetings. Support project development, execution, and final presentation during the internship timeline (June-August). Qualifications: Experience or coursework in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Interest in electrical products, switchboards, and switchpanel systems. Understanding of drafting principles and exposure to GD&T is beneficial. Curious mindset and willingness to learn engineering and electrical product processes. Innovative, creative approach to solving problems and contributing to product improvement. Nature of work: establish a comprehensive inventory of all equipments (ownership and responsibilities) used by Veolia to meet contractual obligations, including tanks, pumps, injection lines, online sensors, and controllers etc. Following this, developing a detailed preventive maintenance (PM) plan and determining required spare parts inventory and creating tracking tools to monitor the execution of PM tasks and facilitate accurate invoicing.
