The Senior Mechanical Integrity Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Implementing the Facility Mechanical Integrity Program * Completing external visual, internal and UT inspections per API codes. * Tracking ECIRTS, and process interruptions related to MI in the PCMS database * Systemizing and Circuitizing P&ID's. * Creating ISO drawings per Enterprise standards. * Generating yearly site-specific Mechanical Integrity projected work scopes. * Completing QA/QC of inspection reports * Providing technical support to Operations and Maintenance for testing and repair of fixed equipment and piping * Incorporating new fixed assets into the Mechanical Integrity Program. * Providing technical support to Operations for Federal and State regulatory audits * Representing Facility Mechanical Integrity in turnaround planning The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: * High school diploma, API 510 and API 570 Certifications required * Minimum of 5 years industry experience in processing plant inspection and technical support required. 10 years preferred. * Excellent communication skills and computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. * Working knowledge of the Federal and State regulations affecting piping and fixed equipment including Process Safety Management (PSM) and USCG facilities inspection requirements. * Technical knowledge and practical working experience in time and condition based inspection processes, non-destructive testing (NDT) method selection, and piping and vessel defect assessment and repair. * Candidate should be well versed in the API-510, API-570, API-579, ASTM specifications, ASME Section VIII Div. 1, ASME B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8. * Working knowledge of corrosion issues, damage mechanisms and corrosion phenomena occurring in equipment and piping in mid-stream operating environments. * Ability to plan, implement, monitor and control a mechanical integrity program encompassing a large number of fixed equipment assets over a wide geographic area. Details include: * Reviewing project "Issued" drawings * Reviewing project "As-Built" drawings * Preparation of process flow diagrams (PFD), piping & instrument diagrams (P&ID), general equipment layouts, facility plot plans, and equipment and instrument lists for various company plant, pipeline and related facilities construction projects. * Assist in the development of Project Scopes, Engineering / Design Scopes, and Construction Scopes of Work, for use in the establishment of contracts with third parties. * Attend project meetings to obtain full understanding of customer needs and scope definitions, and to provide technical input toward efficient and effective designs. * Assist in the review of man hour estimates and work schedules to assure efficiency in the execution of projects. * Coordinate the distribution of design packages related to projects to ensure that all stakeholders are allowed input, and that all necessary information is exchanged. * Provide design and drafting services for time / budget critical projects. * Provide design and drafting services associated with the preliminary development of potential projects. * Create parts lists by performing material take-offs to ensure the timely availability of items. * Maintain record of documents and correspondence pertaining to technical design issues throughout the development of projects. * Participate in the development and maintenance of Company standard drawings. * Maintain a high level of expertise in necessary areas of design and drafting and ensure access to specialty resources and technology. * Provide necessary guidance and instruction to support staff so to ensure efficiency in the daily operation of the department. * Assist in the development and implementation of specifications and procedures related to the handling of department business to facilitate lower costs in the creation and maintenance of drawings and documentation. * Coordinate with Project Managers, purchasing agents, inspectors, engineering contractors, and construction contractors relating to design drawing content, materials and construction issues. * Coordinate with Project Managers on design and project logistical issues to assure effective, linear progress of the project. * Assist in the drafting associated with daily operation of the system. * Provide guidance so to enhance the ability of others to obtain required information through the use of departmentally developed tools and methods. * Assist in the development and implementation of techniques for more efficient utilization of CADD and recommending and specifying appropriate drafting software applications. * Participate in preliminary project site surveys, to identify potential constraints and any existing system points of connection. * Facilitate and maintain records regarding technical communications among stakeholders, including Project Management, Operations, Company Technical Service Departments, and Third Parties. * Assist in the development and implementation of Company standards, specifications and procedures. * Must be willing and able to travel by air and/or automobile to facility sites as required. The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: * High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. * Technical certification or equivalent training in a mechanical environment or energy related field preferred. * Minimum of 3 years stable work history, preferably in the energy industry. * Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. * Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of mechanical equipment and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment. * Able to read prints, drawings and technical manuals and prepare technical reports. * Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations and possess basic computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications. * Good verbal/written communication skills, decision making skills and strong work ethic. * Able to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions. * Must be available to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule, overtime, handle call-outs, and must live or relocate to within 1 hour response time of job assignment. * Should have basic computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications. * Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs a plus. * Self-motivated individual able to work independently or in a team environment and willing to learn. * Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and corrections when problems are detected. * Must have a history of being dependable and reliable, take pride in a job well done, and enjoy working hard. * Candidate must have good organizational skills, good customer relation skills with the ability to interface with land owners and other corporate and field personnel. * Works indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment. * Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment. * Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools. * Climbs and works at various heights and may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position. * Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work. * May work in confined spaces (i.e. tanks, between compressors, vessels). * Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs., apply up to 100 foot pounds of torque. * Must have ability to get in and out of vehicles regularly and ride over rough roads. * May be required to participate in the Respiratory Protection Program and wear respirator to perform tasks. * Must wear special safety equipment while working and must be able to lift and put on emergency breathing apparatus and/or protective equipment. #LI-SW1 #IND123
