IWCO Direct is seeking aDayShift
Envelope Adjuster
to join our high-growth, creative organization at our facility located in Chanhassen, MN.
Relocation assistance available!


This position will work a 12-hour night shift from 6 PM - 6 AM, on a 2/2/3 schedule:

- Only 15 working days per month.
- 180 working days per year - that is less than half the year.
- Built-in overtime - you are scheduled to work 48 hours one week and 36 the next.
- Every other weekend off (Friday-Sunday).
- Paid lunch breaks.
- Paid time off (3+ weeks/year).
- Relocation assistance.

The Envelope Adjuster sets up, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains FL Smithe and/or W&D envelope converting equipment to meet deadlines while reducing waste and ensuring quality and quantity goals are met.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Working closely with Machine Operators and Quality Auditors to resolve problems, setting appropriate machine speeds, and determining when equipment shut down is necessary due to safety or poor quality
  • Entering job adjustment data into Foundation system per job tickets and verifying accuracy of information
  • Setting up and hanging paper rolls to assist Material Handler; backing up Machine Operator for breaks as needed
  • Conducting a smooth transition between shifts to gain all information without interruption to production
  • Ordering necessary parts and/or coordinating with suppliers when maintenance is necessary
  • Providing training to crew and other employees as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and ability to read and write basic English; trade school a plus
  • 3+ years' Adjuster experience on RA and/or SW machines in a position of similar skill set and level of responsibility within the Envelope industry
  • Previous participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus
  • Ability to see and clearly identify all aspects of the color spectrum
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and stoop for up to 12 hours
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating 3 or 4 days per week including weekends
  • Pre-employment physical assessment, drug screen and background check required.


Physical Requirements of Essential Functions:

  • Standard climate-controlled production environment; exposure to loud noise (PPE is provided)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 53 pounds, and push/pull up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for up to 12 hours
  • Sensory requirements: vision, hearing, feeling
  • Upper extremity motion requirements: fine motor movements, pushing/pulling with arms, grasping and pinching
  • Lower extremity motion requirements: reaching.
