POSITION OVERVIEW Under limited supervision, the Custodian will perform janitorial duties that involve cleaning and sanitizing the school facility and its grounds in addition to performing minor maintenance. Work will involve a variety of physical demands. Ability to perform related tasks as required. Should be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. RESPONSIBILITIES Wipe, sweep, dust, mop, wash, vacuum, polish, and wax floors daily/as necessary Clean windows, woodwork, furniture, and equipment daily and/or as needed. Clean and sanitize rest-room facilities and keep areas supplied with towels, soap, and other items. Collect and dispose of trash from buildings and grounds. Perform unskilled maintenance work that can include, changing light bulbs, door repairs, unclogging toilets, sinks etc. Performs outside work such as cleaning walks, possible lawn maintenance, snow and ice removal Support building-wide efforts around green & sustainable practices including green cleaning Ability to perform physical labor such as moving furniture and equipment, lifting, climbing ladders, etc Ability to follow instructions concerning various chemicals Should be able to function independently under standard operating procedures, with supervisor available to answer questions. Other duties as assigned EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent required plus 1-2 years experience helpful.     Job Description OVERVIEW OF POSITION:Performs routine and non-routine security functions in an assigned area or areas by following prescribed schedules set by Operations Department. Lead collaboration and referral processes with our IBHS assigned partners in line with PA requirements. * Lead the school's Student Assistance Program process in line with PA requirements. * Manage support of students who qualify for McKinney-Vento services in collaboration with school and regional office Operations Team members. * Provide outside referrals to families when student or family needs exceed the scope of practice for school-based counseling services. * Coordinate community resource activities with partnership organizations to expand the network of supports accessible to KPPS students and families. * Respond to mental health crisis as part of the school's crisis response team. Job Description Role Overview: Recess Aides primarily provide general supervision of elementary-aged children during outdoor (or indoor) recess, helping to ensure that recess is a safe, joyful experience for students. Candidates for this position should enjoy engaging with children and have some experience supporting children in school, after/before school, summer camp, and/or daycare settings. Recess Monitor must be all weekdays; hours vary a bit by school, but typically include mid-morning to afternoon hours (10:00am-2:00pm or 11:00am-3:00pm).
