Summary
Position Highlights:
The Environmental Services Specialty Technician's primary responsibility is disinfecting
Specialty areas such as Infusion Pharmacy, Sterile Processing, Operating Rooms, Procedure Rooms, Cell Therapy. As part of the Spill Response Team, deactivates and decontaminates chemotherapy and other hazardous agent spills. Responsible for reducing the spread of bacteria and infection as well as providing an environment that appears clean, fresh, and polished. This position performs a variety of duties that support the department in maintaining a clean environment for patients and staff. This includes cleaning and disinfecting other areas as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Clean spills containing blood or other potentially infectious material using established infection control, safety, and ES departmental procedures.
* Occasionally may have to work at off-site locations.
* Follow departmental and other regulatory standards regarding all cleaning policies and procedures (using proper disinfectants, labeling chemical bottles, keeping an organized cart, etc.)
* Perform all essential functions following established safety and infection control requirements (perform hand hygiene, wear PPE, etc.)
* Safely uses, dilutes, and stores chemicals and cleaning materials.
* Complete working knowledge of different types of hazardous materials (chemotherapy, pharmaceutical, bio-hazardous, sharps, pathological, microbiological, and bodily fluids) and how to properly handle and dispose.
* Proper operation of cleaning equipment - Properly clean and disinfect all types of areas including clinical inpatient/outpatient (patient rooms, exam rooms, nurse stations, etc.), support/common areas, offices, labs, conference rooms, elevators, stairwells, corridors, external grounds, etc.
Credentials and Qualifications:
* No education required.
* Minimum two (2) years of Healthcare Janitorial / Environmental Services experience, including 6 months applying proficient knowledge of a specialty area (for example, including terminal cleaners), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral/written form (for the safety of our patients and staff in an emergency situation).
* For internal candidates only (Average quality score of 90% in previous 12 months and successful completion of all competencies over a rolling 12-month period.)
* Valid FL Driver's License.

Job Description
ASC Group, Inc., is a cultural and natural resources consulting firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. We have immediate openings for Archaeology Field Technicians for projects located in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky, which are ongoing and starting soon. These include a Phase III investigation of a major Fort Ancient village site and Phase I, II investigations of Woodland period sites in the Scioto Valley. Field technicians will be working under the supervision of a Field Supervisor and/or Principal Investigator. The ongoing and future projects should see work through the late summer.
The work will involve archaeological excavation (i.e., test units), feature documentation, mapping and profiling, shovel testing, surface survey, and screening for artifacts. Phase III investigations are primarily in heated tents.
Minimum requirements include an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field; field school or archaeological field experience (previous work in Cultural Resource Management preferred); good organizational skills; and ability to maintain neat and accurate field notes. Pay starts at $20/hr and is based on experience. Per-diem ($41/day) and lodging is provided for all project work requiring overnight stays away from your home office, and paid sick time accrual is offered.
You must provide personal PPE like gloves and boots. Other required PPE will be provided.

APTIM has openings for a EnvironmentalTechnician to work in a team to perform solid waste composition assessments of client waste containers ranging in size from 3 cubic yards to 40 cubic yards. These assessments are typically 1-2 days in duration with typical team sizes ranging from 2 to 5 depending on the size of the assessment.
Work activities will include sorting through solid waste using hand tools to segregate waste items by type for the purpose of assessing various types of waste including plastics, paper, cardboard, glass, food waste and regulated materials. Assisting with the separation of the waste, weighing and inventorying items for the purpose of data analysis and reporting.
Work requires the ability to bend and lift 30 pounds or less, willingness to work in Tyvek safety suits, wear required safety equipment, and ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Sort solid waste into material categories including plastics, paper, cardboard, food waste, regulated waste, etc.

This position works under general direction and requires thorough knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating technology and its processes and blueprint reading.
Serves as lead worker (e.g., provide work direction and training) over lower-level air quality technicians and/or incarcerated individuals engaged in installation, preventative maintenance, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems
Perform highly skilled maintenance and installation work on HVAC equipment
Periodically inspect operation of equipment; performs preventative maintenance schedules as assigned
Repairs air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems
Replaces or repairs pumps, fan motors, thermostats and filters
Welds metal
Inspects and tests installed equipment for proper assembly of components and checks for needed repairs
Determines and completes materials needed, cost estimates, and submit requests to purchase
Reads blueprints and/or schematic diagrams
Maintains inventory of HVAC supplies
Maintains tool count of tools used by incarcerated individuals (e.g., completes tool control forms daily, maintains strict inventory of tools)
Performs other maintenance and/or miscellaneous duties (e.g., performs semi- skilled carpentry, painting, electrical, sheet metal, HVAC)
Ensures compliance with security regulations
Serves on institutional committees
Attends training, seminars and/or meetings
Performs security functions as required (e.g., man-down, shakedown, inmate movement)
Performs other duties as assigned (e.g., snow and ice removal and grass cutting)
