PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. has a proud and lengthy history of delivering innovative, challenging, and complex projects. PGH Wong was established in 1985 on its extraordinary foundation in systems engineering and is now a full-service engineering, architecture, construction management, and program/project management consulting firm for public and private entities across the nation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Review environmental regulations and determine whether they are being applied properly to maintain environmental conservation.
- Perform site assessments to determine environmental impact of construction activities.
- Ensure technical compliance and administration of construction contracts.
- Enforce contract terms and conditions.
- Document contractual actions.
- Interface with the owner, engineers, architects, and other third parties.
- Manage field staff, including inspectors and office engineers.
- ManageRFIs, submittals, and construction changes.
- Reviewcontractor payment requests.
- Resolve construction activity environmental disputes.
- Develop periodic environmental investigation reports, provide information on construction progress, schedule status, cost/budget status, and environmental assurance activities.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer is preferred.
- Minimum of 10-years of experience in Engineering and Construction. .
- Certificate of completion from an approved erosion and sediment control (ESC) training course that meets minimum training and certification requirements established by Ecology is preferred.
- Current certificate as approved and administered by the Society of Wetlands Scientists is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent coordination, oral and written communications skills are required.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington (SMMWW), Construction Stormwater General Permit (CSWGP), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPP), Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control (TESC) and Discharge to Surface Water and Sanitary and Combined Sewers Plans and their intent.
