Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds routinely and 60 pounds occasionally; must be able to bend from waist and at knees; must be able to reach with arms over head; must be able to stand for prolonged periods. Functional Accountabilities Perform routine, specialized cleaning and job assignments as assigned * Perform daily routine cleaning in assigned areas following established policies and procedures; this could include specialty areas, such as, Operating Room, Cardiac Cath Lab, Recovery room, IR rooms, special procedure rooms, MRI's, Sterile Supply , etc. * Maintain sterile field as required according to department policy. * Remove trash and soiled linen (to include the removal and replacement of linen on discharged patient beds, stretchers and on-call rooms) and use appropriate techniques and bagging procedures. * Replenish bathroom supplies as needed. * Perform project work such as cleaning specialized equipment as directed. * Use cleaning chemicals for their specific purpose, follow product directions. * Restock cart and notify supervisor when supplies are low. * Perform meeting room set ups when assigned. * Perform routine and restorative care to hard and carpeted floors as assigned. Complete Daily Report * Complete checklist and log of duties completed during shift. Use cleaning equipment appropriately * Operate cleaning equipment according to instructions. * Replace belts, bags and make other minor equipment repairs; report other mechanical failures to supervisor. * Clean equipment as directed. Report to Work as Scheduled * Arrive and depart work on time. * Report to work on scheduled days with no excessive absenteeism. * Leave for meal break and return on time. * Follow sign in/out procedures for pagers, keys and equipment as required by procedure. Follow Established Dress Code * Report to work in uniform. * Uniform are clean and free of debris or odor. * Entire uniform is worn daily . * Follow department and hospital uniform procedures.
