Environmental Program Manager Role
AWS Environmental is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on by supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. You will:
- Partner with AWS stakeholders to develop regional and site-specific development strategies for the construction and operation of AWS data centers and infrastructure.
- Provide technical assistance and risk management support to construction managers and partner teams, and promote and manage environmental compliance during construction, specifically focusing on protection of sensitive environmental resources, wetland permit compliance and construction stormwater NPDES permit compliance (including erosion and sediment control).
- Prepare for data center operations.
- Engage regularly throughout the construction phase with multiple AWS stakeholders, including Real Estate, Legal, Risk, Water, Design, Public Policy, Construction, and Operational teams, as well as external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors.

- Assess environmental risks and requirements and develop mitigations and strategies to support site-specific project delivery.
- Manage environmental compliance during construction, specifically focusing on wetlands permits and erosion and sediment control.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, biology, or related discipline.
7+ years managing permitting, and compliance for new developments.
5+ years environmental construction oversight

National Target Base Pay Range: $112,000.00 - $190,000.00

YOU are the ideal First Line Engineer/Manager candidate if you have:
· Substantial experience (senior-level) in design engineering environments, specifically within the nuclear or power generation sector.
· Proven background in managing or leading design teams focused on security computer system modifications or plant computer upgrades.
· Strong knowledge of nuclear industry‐specific compliance standards (e.g., design control, 10 CFR50 Appendix B, 10 CFR50.59, or 10 CFR72.48) and security computer/modification processes.
· Bachelor's degree (Engineering or related technical discipline) and demonstrated leadership skills overseeing engineering deliverables, technical reviews and change control.

· Prior nuclear plant design qualifications, site design or standard design process qualifications.

Environmental Program Manager Role
AWS Environmental is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You will:
* Partner with AWS stakeholders to develop regional and site-specific development strategies for the construction and operation of AWS data centers and infrastructure.
* Provide technical assistance and risk management support to construction managers and partner teams, and promote and manage environmental compliance during construction, specifically focusing on protection of sensitive environmental resources, wetland permit compliance and construction stormwater NPDES permit compliance (including erosion and sediment control).
* Prepare for data center operations.
* Engage regularly throughout the construction phase with multiple AWS stakeholders, including Real Estate, Legal, Risk, Water, Design, Public Policy, Construction, and Operational teams, as well as external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors.
Key job responsibilities
* Assess environmental risks and requirements and develop mitigations and strategies to support site-specific project delivery.
* Manage environmental compliance during construction, specifically focusing on wetlands permits and erosion and sediment control.
* Communicate environmental requirements, risks, and activities to internal and external project partners.
* Coordinate with partner teams including Design, Water, Legal, Risk, Power, and others to manage construction and operational constraints.
* Develop site development strategies that are environmentally responsible and sustainable while meeting project timelines.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, biology, or related discipline.
7+ years managing permitting, and compliance for new developments.
5+ years environmental construction oversight
3+ years erosion and sediment control managment during construction
Preferred Qualifications
Data center or critical infrastructure construction, and/or or risk assessment experience strongly preferred.
Experience in multiple states within the US.
Experience managing and/or supporting community/public interactions.
Experience with Smartsheets or other project management software.
Up to 25% domestic travel
Experience working with large teams on a diverse slate of projects.

The base pay for this position ranges from $98,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,800/year in our highest geographic market.
