Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Task Manager with a background as an Environmental Engineer to join our New Orleans, LA office.

This is a position for a dynamic individual looking for career growth in environmental consulting and the environmental remediation market. This full-time position is expected to support environmental investigation, remediation, compliance, and permitting projects, and will be working alongside and supporting multiple projects and project managers. The ideal candidate will possess great attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently, and be capable of working as a productive member of a high-performance team.

Role accountabilities:

* Assist Project Managers with managing scope, schedule, and budget for projects including multi-media auditing, permitting, and soil and groundwater investigations and remediation
* Support clients with regulatory permits, SWPPPs, SPCC plans
* Evaluate data to support conceptual site models for environmental investigations, delineate the nature and extent of contamination, and recommend remedial options
* Coordinate with project teams to plan and execute field activities, including routine sampling events, drilling events, soil excavations, onsite audits, etc.
* Technical report writing and review
* Prepare cost estimates and proposals
* Work effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
* Coordinate work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors
* Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
* May require some regional travel for field visits up to 20% of the time

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering
* 3 years of relevant experience with Chemical, Oil & Gas, Railway, Utilities, and/or Federal clients

Preferred Qualifications:

* 40-hour HAZWOPER (8-hour annual refresher if applicable)

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) has an opening for a dynamic Environmental Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex transportation-related environmental planning projects in Colorado, Utah, Oregon, and/or Washington and with agencies such as state DOTs, FHWA, FRA, FTA, FAA, USACE, FERC, etc. Additionally, we are looking for someone with proven experience in task management and subconsultant management. The person in this position will work with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams comprised of internal peers, clients, and subconsultants.

**District Overview**

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineer's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of complex projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs, and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. **Location**

This position is based out of our Lone Tree, CO office.

**Responsibilities**

+ Reviewing environmental documents, RFPs and other documents

+ Leading environmental planning and permitting processes and document preparation for transportation and transit clients

+ Coordinating with project team members, clients, and subconsultants on technical work

+ Assisting in the preparation of scope, schedule, and budget for new projects and responding to RFPs with similar information

+ Serving as technical lead for a variety of transportation projects during conceptual planning and design through environmental approvals and permitting.

+ Developing documents that meet the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act of 1966, Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, and Section 404/401 of the Clean Water Act, and Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act.

+ Preparing technical plans, studies, written reports, and environmental documents in support of environmental permitting and approvals for transportation and other projects.

+ Collaborating with transportation planning, engineering, urban design/landscape design, and other disciplines.

+ Performing quality reviews of deliverables to client requirements to ensure high-quality products are produced on time and budget.

+ Preparing and managing scope, schedule, and budget for a variety of environmental transportation projects across the office and division.

+ Coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, and in-house personnel on a regular basis.

+ Preparing for and conducting public and agency involvement activities.

**Qualifications**
