About the Opportunity:
We're looking for a Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to join our team at Pursuit Aerospace - Cleveland, OH, with multi-site responsibility across our Airfoils Castings and EMEA operations. This role is pivotal in advancing our EHS strategy across facilities in Whitesboro, NY; Thomasville, GA; Cleveland, OH; multiple locations in the United Kingdom; and Tunis, Tunisia.
As Director of EHS, you'll take on full ownership of EHS performance in Cleveland while providing strategic and tactical leadership across our network. Responsibilities:
Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs for the Cleveland, OH site, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Provide strategic and tactical EHS leadership across multiple sites in the U.S., U.K., and Tunisia, supporting a consistent and high-performing safety culture.
Develop and implement scalable systems and tools for global compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
Serve as the subject matter expert on all EHS-related matters, advising senior leaders and site managers on emerging risks and regulatory changes.
Conduct and oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve operational integrity.
Ensure environmental compliance across sites, including permitting, reporting, and monitoring activities.
Establish and track EHS key performance indicators (KPIs), driving accountability and performance visibility across the organization.
Deliver impactful EHS training and awareness programs to build employee engagement and capability at all levels.
Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, HR, and quality to integrate EHS into all aspects of business decision-making.
Lead and support audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure readiness and continuous compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field
10+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in aerospace or a similarly regulated industry
5+ years of leadership experience
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and international EHS regulations, including European and North African requirements
Demonstrated success in building and scaling environmental compliance systems, safety culture, and risk mitigation frameworks
Experience leading or supporting third-party and regulatory audits, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or AS9100-related management systems
Proven track record in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of effective corrective actions
Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)
Experience working within a matrixed or private equity-owned organization
Familiarity Kaizen tools and the application to EHS
Working Conditions:
Travel up to 50%, including international travel (UK and Tunisia)
Working conditions typically include both office and shop floor environments.
Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
The person hired for this position will primarily perform health & safety (H&S) services including industrial hygiene (air contaminant, noise, etc.) surveys in various industries (e.g., aerospace, manufacturing, and pulp and paper); indoor air quality surveys; health and safety written program development, safety risk assessments; safety training, and other similar services
Analyze data, prepare data tables, reporting, and figures.
Contribute to authored technical reports.
An elevated level of travel throughout the Southeast region and continental US depending on client/project needs.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
BS Degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or a related field
0-3 years of experience required
Expectations to attain a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
