The Job:
As the Director, EHS for the West Region, you will serve as a strategic leader and trusted partner to operational teams across multiple sites, driving the consistent implementation and advancement of EHS programs. Reporting to the Senior Director, EHS Americas, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, while working remotely from Texas and traveling within the region up to 40%. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of EHS and sustainability data reporting. Oversee ongoing verification of EHS performance across all sites within the region.
Collaborate with EHS pillar leads, legal counsel, and site teams to resolve regulatory matters and government agency interactions, ensuring timely and effective enforcement action resolution.
Support mergers, acquisitions, and site transitions by executing the EHS Management of Change process, ensuring seamless integration of newly acquired companies, work transfers, or site closures.
Design and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills and functional capabilities of EHS professionals, ensuring each site is equipped to manage EHS responsibilities effectively.
Guide sites in completing annual EHS program requirements, ensuring alignment with regional and global objectives.
The Person:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including developing and executing company strategic priorities, and managing multiple site-level teams of EHS professionals to deliver results while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to build trusting partnerships with operational and site leadership through on-site engagement to audit, test, and verify consistent implementation of company standards and processes, including accurate EHS data entry, management, and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance.
Proven experience implementing company EHS Management Systems (such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001), including optimization of standards and process methods across multiple sites at varying levels of maturity.
Advanced proficiency in utilizing data analytics and leading indicators to drive proactive, evidence-based decision-making and enable measurable performance improvement, as well as the ability to train others in these skills.

About This Role
We are seeking a Principal, EnvironmentalHealth and Safety (EHS) Leader who will be responsible for leading the development, implementation and oversight of a comprehensive safety program for Intersect Power to ensure best in class EHS performance for personnel, contractors and interested parties affectedby our projects, operations, and activities.

What You'll Do
General • Support the organization in the best practices coordination and integration of EHS matters, with the aim to ensure the compliance with local laws, regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, and practices. • Lead EHS strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing HSE initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future HSE programs and systems across the Organization. • Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the businessorganization regarding EHS topics. • Provide leadership during the definition of EHS targets, KPIs, policies andprocedures ensuring their implementation and application. • Develop, track, and control the EHS annual operating and capital budgets. * Existing hazardous material risks are monitored and that the MCM actively seeks out, identifies and reports on new risks associated with previously unidentified hazardous materials;
* Responsible for the safety of property on site and for protection of persons adjacent to site, to the extent that they may be affected by the conduct of work;

5. Collaboration and Communication:

**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Be the EHS point of contact for project and site team, providing day-to-day EHS management for the construction and commissioning project.
+ Establish the project site's overall EHS Plan(s) to meet GE standards, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and other requirements, including but not limited to the Occupational Safety & Health plan, Environmental Protection Plan, Emergency Response Plan, etc.
+ Ensure effective implementation of EHS management system including Policy, Plan, training, effective risk assessment, inspection, auditing, event management and analysis, in line with GE standards and procedures, including the effectiveness of safety related processes owned by others.
+ Intervene whenever site activities do not meet the established EHS requirements of the risk assessment / method statement.
+ Ensure applicable legal requirements have been properly identified and are complied with.
+ Provide timely information to the site management in relation to any trends that become evident through analysis, and potential legal exposure and EHS concerns including the effective Management of Change.
+ Chair the project site EHS kick-off meeting(s).
+ Monitor the effectiveness of the site related rules defined in the Site EHS plan and revise as necessary to keep up to date, in consultation with the site manager.
+ Identification, hiring, training and mobilization of site EHS staff.
+ Communicate on the GE Framework and ensure the site manager monitors and maintains site compliance.
+ Set up and maintain the EHS training needs and training plan.
+ Review (and validate or reject) the assignment to site of sub-contractors' EHS professionals.
+ Participate in the continuous improvement processes, by providing EHS-related feedback to the site team.
+ Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices. Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Engineering Degree or equivalent education in EHS (EHS Management and/or sciences, construction safety, etc.), or other faculty (for instance Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Construction)
+ Leve A Occupational Safety Management Specialist or Occupational Health Management Specialist issued by local Taiwan authority (職業安全管理師 or 職業衛生管理師)
+ NEBOSH/IOSH Qualification or equivalent according to local legislation
+ At least 10 years of experience in EHS at a construction site, as Site EHS Manager in the power plants and/or oil & gas industry
+ **Good level of English and Chinese language (both written and spoken)**
+ Computer skills (ability to learn and master online reporting tools)
+ Ability and willingness to work on holidays, weekends and overtime and shift as required by field assignment.
+ To be based at Taichung Site Office.

A Brief Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Health & Safety at Safelite, the Environmental, Health & Safety Director will be responsible for all aspects of State and Federal Health and Safety Regulations. This will include risk assessment, incident prevention and response, operating procedures, training, reporting and governance, and compliance assurance.
The Environmental, Health & Safety Director will work to understand the scope of the regulatory needs and develop actionable strategies toward building a consistent compliance program throughout the organization.

What you will do
Oversee the design, delivery, and implementation of compliance management systems that adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
Lead a team of H&S Specialists and Environmental Engineer through ongoing situations, training and follow-up.
Ensure all state and federal regulations are met and sustained. When regulations are not met, prioritization the gaps and create sustainable solutions.
Ability to ethically handle sensitive and confidential information with impartiality and professionalism.
Compile, record, secure, and maintain required data from various documents to ensure compliance for all areas.
Professionally cooperate, serve as point of contact, and immediately notify internal stakeholders regarding agency (OSHA (State and Federal), EPA, etc.) related inquiries, provide documentation as required, and promptly follow-up on remediations.
Write, review and ensure all required regulatory documentation is submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
Stay current on changes to federal, state, and local regulations related to the operation of Safelite's business.
Serve as Environmental, Health & Safety representative in working with any compliance audit process and managing any actions stemming from audit findings.
Conduct random inspections to assess compliance throughout various parts of the business.
Assist with incident and accident investigation providing appropriate code information and applicable legal considerations for documentation.
