Reporting to the Director of Quality , the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager will plan, administer, and supervise ongoing environmental, safety, and health programs in accordance with the OSHA, EPA requirements and applicable federal, state and local regulations as well as Materion's EHS systems, processes and programs.
You will have the Opportunity to:Ensure compliance of EHS policies to comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Formulate, document and maintain general safety, health and environmental policies.Overall environmental management responsibility for compliance with state and federal governing agencies including wastewater management.Lead investigations of all serious accidents and injuries making recommendations for corrective action to management.Maintain an on-going accident prevention program. Inspect and tour facility to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards and recommend corrective or preventative action.Support the ISO 14001 certification program.Develop budgets and manage activities to accomplish financial objectives. Plans and coordinates health and safety program requiring application of engineering principles and technology to analyze and control conditions control contributing to occupational hazards and diseases by performing the following duties.

• Maintains monitoring instrumentation and equipment.
• Implements or recommends control measures for exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.
• Directs workers engaged in field and laboratory verification of compliance with health regulations.
• Provides technical guidance to management and workers regarding health related problems and correct use of protective clothing or accessories.
• Monitors the company’s health standards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Develops and implements a program and system to track and evaluate worker injuries.
• Maintains working knowledge of new developments in the industry and government regulations.
• Develops and facilitates training for workers on issues related to environmental health and safety.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering or related field.

• Manufacturing experience preferred.

• CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Managers), Or QEP (Qualified Environmental Professional) certification(s) preferred.
