What you will accomplish
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for pipeline and other oil and gas related construction activities.
* Project work may include Federal land management, oil and gas development, transportation, water resources, renewable energy, transmission/pipelines, mining, habitat restoration, wildfire monitoring, and watershed studies.
* Supervise installation and maintenance of BMPs, erosion control devices (ECDs), and environmental exclusion areas during construction.
* Use topographic maps, GPS units, aerial photographs, and other maps and tools in the field.
* Take responsibility for team safety, develop safety plans (when applicable), and anticipate potential safety hazards.
Experience and qualifications for success
* At least 1 year of experience in environmental consulting inspection of oil and gas/pipeline projects required.
* Able to inspect pipelines and oil & gas related facilities.
* Familiar with soil erosion control and BMP installation and maintenance.
* Familiar with agricultural mitigation plans/drain tile repair.
* Able to work in remote areas, use ATVs or other four-wheel drive type vehicles.
* Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check.

About MORPC's Weatherization Program
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) provides energy efficiency services to income-eligible households through programs like HWAP and WarmChoice. These services help reduce energy bills, improve home comfort and safety, and support environmental equity across Central Ohio.
Position Summary
The Energy Auditor plays a vital role in assessing residential homes for energy efficiency improvements. This position involves daily travel to client residences across Franklin County and occasional trips to home improvement retailers for supplies. All driving is conducted in MORPC-provided vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive energy audits of residential homes, including blower door testing, combustion safety testing, and insulation assessments.

THE WORK:
You'll coordinate with subject-matter experts to satisfy compliance obligations and environmental requirements aligned with construction schedule milestones
You'll coordinate with Permit Managers to understand permit conditions and translate them into actionable guidance for construction teams to ensure compliance with all environmental approvals

Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Company Divisions to ensure that they meet all environmental regulatory requirements as dictated by local, regional, state, and federal regulatory bodies, including but not limited to, water discharges, SPCC plans, air emissions including Title V and New Source Review, flood management certifications, stormwater management, site remediation, and land use.
Spearhead efforts to implement an Environmental Management System for the Company, and track, archive and maintain the operating permits for all Company Divisions. Such a system should include an inventory and calendar of environmental legal and regulatory requirements and commitments, a document control system, and compliance activity reports.
Review current operating permits for all Company Divisions to ensure that they are up-to-date, being followed, and factor in any operational changes made at the Divisions.
Travel to the Company Divisions or work remotely to perform audits under the guidance of the Corporate Production Manager to ensure Divisional compliance with current permits and regulations. Prepare reports on the audit findings and resolutions to be presented to the Corporate Officers.
Pull and analyze operational data from the Company Divisions to compare against the related permits and ensure compliance and identify trends. Summarize this data for presentation to the Corporate Officers.
Assist the Company Divisions with technical documentation and permitting applications, and serve as a resource to advise them on air, water, and land use regulations along with outside environmental consultants.
Stay current on upcoming environmental regulations and report potential regulatory impacts that could affect the Company to the Corporate Officers.
Work with outside environmental consultants to perform environmental compliance and address environmental issues that occur, review resolutions, and oversee corrective actions under the guidance of the Corporate Production Manager.
Work with others on new construction projects that have environmental impacts, as requested by the Corporate Production Manager, to help navigate the environmental compliance hurdles for projects and make sure the projects stay on track from an environmental compliance standpoint.
Assist with the buying and selling of environmental credits (e.g. carbon credits).
Research potential changes or additions to air pollution control systems that could lessen emissions and/or odors.
Assist in identify outside funding sources for potential environmental projects as requested, such as anaerobic digestion, plant emissions reducing equipment, and converting trucks from diesel to CNG, and summarize the information for presentation to the Corporate Officers.

Environmental Specialist 2, DMVA
Remote environmental inspector job
Are you passionate about environmental compliance and sustainability? The Bureau of Environmental Management at Fort Indiantown Gap is looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist 2 to join the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). This position gives you the opportunity to utilize your specialized skill set to ensure that DMVA properties and activities adhere to environmental laws, policies, and regulations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Environmental Specialist 2, you will be required to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of specific Pennsylvania environmental regulations and specific Federal environmental regulations related to storage tanks and spill prevention plans. You will be responsible for implementing the storage tank program through inspections, testing, contracting environmental testing and repair services, as well as training and educating DMVA's storage tank operators. You will have the opportunity to work closely with National Guard units, Readiness Centers, and numerous sections within DMVA to include but not limited to the Adjutant General, FTIG engineers, project managers, and installation maintenance personnel. Work involves conducting annual inspections at DMVA owned Underground Storage Tank (UST) and Above Ground Storage Tank (AST) facilities to assess the condition of the storage tank systems in order to determine the operational and regulatory compliance status of each storage tank. You will also be responsible for developing, initiating, and performing corrective actions for noted deficiencies and potential violations. Effective communication is essential as you will be establishing working relationships with local and state conservation organizations and agencies so they have an adequate understanding of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard environmental program goals and objectives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Full-time employment
* Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
* Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You must work in the office at least 50% of the time within one pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Annville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* One year of experience as an Environmental Specialist 1, DMVA (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
* Two years of professional environmental compliance or environmental planning experience and a bachelor's degree in the physical, biological, or environmental sciences; or
* An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
* You must obtain an active certification in 24-hour Hazardous Waste Operations, Procedures and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training within six months of hire and successfully complete an 8-hour annual HAZWOPER refresher training thereafter.
* This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
