This Microbiology Technician is responsible for performing microbiology testing for all ICU Medical products and sterilization processes: This position is for Monday-Friday day shift with no weekend or holiday work aside from the week of July 4th. This position is 100% onsite at our Dublin, OH facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs environmental monitoring of all assembly areas per written procedure. Review and approve test data against alert and limits.
Collects and ships representative samples of finished products for bioburden and endotoxin testing, as well as for dose audits for gamma products. Ships to approved testing labs as per written procedures.
Investigate test results; determine possible causes for failure and recommend possible corrective action. Record results of testing on log and appropriate forms.
Collects and reviews documents provided by the EO and gamma sterilizers and perform load or run releases according to site procedures. If needed, prepare biological indicators for use in sterilization.
Laboratory maintenance tasks such as glassware cleaning, autoclaving materials, counting plates and gram staining.
Manages lab consumables used in the Microbiology lab, as well as receives invoices through Oracle for timely invoice payment.
Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Computer proficiency and adaptability working with a variety of databases, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
Ability to work in a team environment with shifting priorities and requirements.
Previous experience testing medical devices a plus
Good organizational and communication skills required
Education and Experience
Must be 18 years of age
Associate Degree desired or experience in medical device industry-based Laboratory for at least a year.
Technical knowledge in the field required. Knowledge of physical sciences, laboratory equipment.
Laboratory experience in industry-based setting or university laboratory experience is also is preferred.

What are the responsibilities of a Grounds Technician?

About the role:
We are seeking a full time Laboratory Technician who will be responsible for various laboratory testing including Titrations, ICP analysis, and viscosity testing. This individual will be responsible for following all safety and quality guidelines while maintaining a satisfactory production level. Ensure that all tasks are performed within time restraints and according to relevant quality and safety policies and procedures.

Perform analysis on samples through direct testing (i.e. wet chemistry). The minimum level required to perform some methods will vary depending on complexity of the method, safety risk level, and quality risk level.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and/or instrumentation as required by the method. The minimum level required to perform preventative maintenance on some equipment and/or instrumentation will vary depending on the complexity of the task, safety risk level and quality risk level.
Perform calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations.
Perform sample preparation for multiple testing requirements.
Perform housekeeping duties as required. This includes assisting with storage and disposal of client samples.
Monitor inventory levels for supplies and reagents required for test methods.
Prepare and maintain standards and reagents. Some standards will require a minimum Level 2 depending on the complexity and quality risk.
Generate, accumulate, handle, work near, transport, and dispose of hazardous wastes.
Collect, store, and label any hazardous waste generated in compliance with the ALS policy.
Contribute to sample receival process including opening packages, sorting mail and data entry.
Participate in shift hand overs to ensure smooth transition.
Identify continuous improvement activities for the site.

About the role:
We are seeking a full time Laboratory Technician who will be responsible for various laboratory testing including Titrations, ICP analysis, and viscosity testing. This individual will be responsible for following all safety and quality guidelines while maintaining a satisfactory production level. About you:
Ensure that all tasks are performed within time restraints and according to relevant quality and safety policies and procedures.
Use results from test method(s) in calculations to further characterize the data (i.e. Calculated Cetane Index, Viscosity Index, etc.).
Prepare and/or aliquot samples as part of a sample preparation step for all required tests. When applicable load samples on automated instrumentation that has been validated following method quality requirements.
Perform routine daily and/or weekly verification(s) and/or calibration(s) on equipment and instrumentation following method quality requirements. Some methods will require a minimum Level 3 or 4 based on complexity and quality risk level.
Perform analysis on samples through direct testing (i.e. wet chemistry). The minimum level required to perform some methods will vary depending on complexity of the method, safety risk level, and quality risk level.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and/or instrumentation as required by the method. The minimum level required to perform preventative maintenance on some equipment and/or instrumentation will vary depending on the complexity of the task, safety risk level and quality risk level.
Perform calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations.
Perform sample preparation for multiple testing requirements.
Perform housekeeping duties as required. This includes assisting with storage and disposal of client samples.
Monitor inventory levels for supplies and reagents required for test methods.
Prepare and maintain standards and reagents. Some standards will require a minimum Level 2 depending on the complexity and quality risk.
Generate, accumulate, handle, work near, transport, and dispose of hazardous wastes.
Collect, store, and label any hazardous waste generated in compliance with the ALS policy.
Contribute to sample receival process including opening packages, sorting mail and data entry.
Participate in shift hand overs to ensure smooth transition.
Identify continuous improvement activities for the site.

SUMMARY:
Performs basic and advanced Polysomnography and related tasks. Scores and analyzes Polysomnographic data. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
5% - Calibrates all equipment necessary for PSG recording including oximeter, polygraph, CO2 monitor, etc.
5% - Interacts with patients to obtain vital signs, pertinent medical sleep history, and responds to basic patient needs and requests. Provides basic information to patients on equipment and recording procedures.
20% - Attaches electrodes and other recording devices to patients undergoing sleep studies according to standardized procedures. Removes and cleans all such devices at the completion of sleep study.
30% - Monitors PSG collection computers and make appropriate adjustments to produce quality PSC recordings free of artifact. Records observations of patient activities and technologist interventions. Able to troubleshoot as necessary to resolve problems with equipment/recordings.

20% - Titrates PAP devices and O2 during sleep study for optimal resolution of respiratory events and nocturnal desaturations. Conducts CPAP training and desensitization prior to start of CPAP study.
3% - Records written documentation of patient activity in patient's Sleep Center chart or electronic collection file.

• Identifies and reports problems with equipment or procedures to shift leaders, and assists in regular maintenance of equipment.

Three positions available:
Saturday and Sunday 12:30pm to 11:00pm for the part time position for 20 hours each week
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday from 6:30am to 5:00pm for 40 hours each week
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30am to 7:00pm for 30 hours each week
Pay: $14.50 per hour
***Work in a mill or experience in grain/corn elevator a plus!!!!!

CVD Laboratory Intern Spring 2026
Northwood, OH
Purpose: Seeking a highly motivated student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical Engineering. In this position, you will work with a team of technicians, engineers, and scientists to support the R&D stages of Chemical Vapor Depositions. Our intern program focuses on real-world, hands-on experiences to help prepare you for your career. We currently have openings for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.
Essential Functions:
Operate complex CVD lab equipment
Prepare glass substrates for lab depositions
Safely handle chemicals according to SDS standards
Troubleshoot process problems, implement solutions in timely manner
Continuously explore ways to improve safety of all aspects of CVD lab operation
Participate in development and implementation of new CVD lab equipment
Operate small pilot scale equipment in laboratory and manufacturing plants
Create and adhere to SOP's developed for CVD lab equipment
Communicate effectively with all lab personnel
Maintain accurate and detailed records (e.g. laboratory notebook and documents) in accordance with ISO9001:2000 standards.
Adhere to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
Other duties as assigned by manager

Position Overview
The Cath Lab Tech may assist in NCDR registry reporting, quality initiatives and other compliance requirements for cath labs with ODH. The Cath Lab Tech will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, perform emergency procedures associated with cardiovascular procedures such as Intra-Aortic Balloon pump/Impella and temporary pacemaker insertion. Follow established standards of practice under the direction of a credentialed invasive radiologist, cardiologist or cardiothoracic/vascular surgeon. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the facilities mission.
Qualifications
Required:
BLS certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
ACLS certification or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
Current licensure (as applicable).
Preferred:
Minimum of an associate degree.
RCIS certification preferred.
Previous experience in Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab.
Previous experience with GE MAC Lab and Innova.
