License/Certification/Registration: Within one year of hire/transfer, successfully completes, The American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), NFPA-99, “Healthcare Facilities Code”, Certificate of Attendance SUPERVISION RECEIVED Receives direct supervision from the Facility Supervisor. SUPERVISION GIVEN None ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Repairs and services electrical and mechanical equipment. Repairs piping and heating equipment including heat and water systems. Repairs Medical Center equipment. Cleans and services heating and air conditioning equipment. Repairs light fixtures and changes light bulbs. Repairs and maintains Medical Center furniture including beds, tables, stands, chairs, etc. Repairs and services call systems for patient rooms and nurse's stations. Operates Boiler Room when the schedule requires. Assists with the installation or movement of equipment or renovations. Performs tasks such as but not limited to: snow removal; grounds care; painting; cleaning; etc. when necessary. Participates when necessary in the process of equipment/building alterations or renovations. Participates in the call duties for non-regular working hours. Performs preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs related and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
