Hexcel is currently seeking an Environmental Manager for our Salt Lake City, UT. USA facility.

The engineering position will provide environmental engineering support in permitting, regulatory interactions and project-management for manufacturing processes at SLC plant. Candidates should have a proven track record in facilitating compliance with environmental regulatory standards as well as corporate environmental standards. This position will directly support Hexcel's business expansion activities by coordinating and collaborating with corporate and plant personnel to achieve the company's environmental compliance, environmental performance and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) goals and objectives.

The selected individual will be responsible for the following efforts:
Perform engineering calculations to determine air emissions, hazardous waste volumes, waste water constituent loads and other environmental performance values. Support revision and implementation of a focused environmental compliance and management systems auditing program and support compliance with ISO 14001 standards where applicable. Support the development and implementation of a corporate program that assures operational compliance with the various environmental reporting obligations. In collaboration with corporate and plant staff, assist in the development of environmental permitting and compliance strategies and lead the preparation of applications for environmental permits and plans that support Hexcel's operations. Provide support for Hexcel's legacy environmental matters, including Superfund sites, from active remediation to Monitored Natural Attenuation (MNA). Establish strong practices, systems, collaboration, and best practice sharing to drive and lead continuous improvement activities in energy, water, GHG emissions, etc. across all company operations. Prepare and deliver presentations and other communications to keep others informed about Hexcel's environmental permitting, performance and compliance activities.

Qualifications:
BS Environmental Engineering or related degree, Masters preferred with 5+ years of related experience HAZ MAT / HAZWOPER / M-9 VEE Certification desired Proficiency in data management, mathematical computations, interpreting environmental information and understanding of the principles of chemistry and physics as they pertain to environmental engineering processes. Superior communication skills, specifically ability to write and speak to small as well as large audiences. A successful history of regulatory agency interaction with a demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects and their financial elements Prior experience in all aspects of environmental compliance assurance ( air / water / waste, etc. ), responsible for environmental compliance for multiple sites in a global manufacturing company, environmental regulatory agency interactions and negotiations and preparation of environmental permit applications and plans.

We are looking for an Environmental Manager to join our Mill Hall, Pennsylvania site within Avery Dennison. In this role, you will participate on our leadership team and report to the Plant Manager. What you will be doing:

Organizing and controlling the Environmental functions of the site to ensure that a compliant program is maintained; this includes managing the onsite Wastewater Treatment facility and waste management programs.

Implementing environmental education and training to support regulatory and business requirements.

Investigating and reporting all releases, injuries and near-misses.

Managing the environmental compliance program and permitting requirements

Develop standardized SOPs and programming for critical processes (e.g. Air Pollution Control Devices, VOC analysis, ERP, etc)

Evaluate IATA & IMDG training needs for the site

Assist site EHS team on newly added or modified manufacturing projects requiring environmental permitting evaluations

Responsible for the onboarding of all EHS related employees in the area of environmental compliance

Maintaining the facility's compliance records for permits. Reviewing Federal, State and local regulation changes that impact permits and permit compliance.

Managing the environmental program to assure compliance with corporate audit protocols.

Identifying and evaluating hazardous conditions and implementation of programs to mitigate the conditions.

Reviewing plant waste statistics and making recommendations for correction of problem areas.

Conducting periodic risk assessments of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure conformance to appropriate environmental and sanitary standards and regulations.

Provide advice, assist, and audit the front line leadership to ensure that effective EHS is implemented and working.

Maintain working relationships with Regulatory Agencies

Assist with maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures.

Actively participate in the Corporate EHS Network.

The Maryland Department of Transportation The Secretary's Office (MDOT TSO) is recruiting for an Environmental Justice Manager (Program Manager III) for its Office of Environment. This position will develop and coordinate a robust environmental justice and community equity program. The incumbent will provide various services to MDOT and its customers by developing standards, and providing guidance that govern the management of environmental aspects while ensuring continuous performance improvement. The incumbent will oversee environmental justice programs across MDOT transportation business units, and facilitate best practices to achieve environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Maintaining broad knowledge regarding current trends, emerging issues, policy interventions, and innovations in transportation systems and environmental management; facilitating and assimilating information across all MDOT transportation business units; engaging with communities and other stakeholders, building partnerships and identifying mutually beneficial projects; advising on compliance, and compiling and reporting applicable data ensuring MDOT complies with federal, state and local laws, as well as developing and implementing policies and programs consistent with federal and gubernatorial directives.

Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Six (6) years of experience in administrative or professional work. One (1) year of this experience must have involved one or more of the following: the supervision of other employees, overseeing and coordinating the general operations of a unit, applying rules and regulations, or exercising responsibility for the development of policies or procedures. *Two (2) years of experience must have involved developing creative programs in support of outreach efforts and analyzing data related to outreach activities.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
-Thorough knowledge of federal and state environmental justice regulations and executive initiatives
-Experience creating social media posts, event flyers, and/or newsletter articles
-Experience leading meetings including developing agendas and managing action items
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Creating PowerPoint presentations and communicating to a variety of audiences
