Environmental Program Manager Role AWS Environmental is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You will: - Partner with AWS stakeholders to develop regional and site-specific development strategies for the construction and operation of AWS data centers and infrastructure. - Provide technical assistance and risk management support to construction managers and partner teams, and promote and manage environmental compliance during construction, specifically focusing on protection of sensitive environmental resources, wetland permit compliance and construction stormwater NPDES permit compliance (including erosion and sediment control). - Prepare for data center operations. - Engage regularly throughout the construction phase with multiple AWS stakeholders, including Real Estate, Legal, Risk, Water, Design, Public Policy, Construction, and Operational teams, as well as external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced staff members. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, biology, or related discipline. 7+ years managing permitting, and compliance for new developments. 5+ years environmental construction oversight 3+ years erosion and sediment control managment during construction Preferred Qualifications Data center or critical infrastructure construction, and/or or risk assessment experience strongly preferred. Experience in multiple states within the US. Experience managing and/or supporting community/public interactions. Experience with Smartsheets or other project management software.
