Key Accountabilities
Assist deployment of new products by working with Applied Sciences to execute several simple projects in support of regional product launches and customer trials.

With support from senior technologists or team leader, ensure that product claims are relevant and valid for region.

Develop expertise in lubricant, grease, and metalworking fluid development, manufacture, application, and troubleshooting.
Act as point of contact between TD Team and the third-party lab (BV) which is used for routine analysis. Investigate questions or concerns communicated from the third-party lab and communicate issues and requests from the BP team to the third-party lab.
Education: Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related technical subject area.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
2-3 years of experience in lubricant development and technology commercialization and deployment is a plus.

About the role
The Principal Facility Engineer will be responsible for owning the outcome of complete engineering packages necessary to construct and operate Renewable Natural gas (RNG) facilities. This will require heavy coordination between internal Archaea Modular Design (AMD) engineering teams and Balance of Plant (BOP) engineering to deliver best-in-class packages to Archaea's construction and operations teams. The Principal Facility Engineer will primarily oversee 3rd party engineering firms and be the key conduit to Archaea's in-house design engineers and construction teams.
Key accountabilities
RNG Plant Execution Engineering
Own the outcome of successful project specific Process Hazard Analysis (PHA's) utilizing HAZOP methodology. This includes owning the implementation of any PHA recommendations.
Commissioning support through Pre-Startup Safety Review and as-built package turnover
Collaborate with Design/Process, Project Management & Construction Teams to meet project specifications and deadlines.
Reviewing and approving major engineering submittals from the contractors (ex: Plot Plans, P&IDs, Area Classification Drawings, One-Lines etc).
Maintains knowledge of the ASME, AGA, and AISC, OSHA & ASTM
In depth knowledge of Process Piping Design, Materials, Fabrication and Specifications leading to construction documents.
Works closely with all engineering disciplines as well as operations staff to fully understand each process and provide design input regarding process improvement, reliability, and safety.

The ROMA Manager role is a leadership role overseeing a large ARC team in bpx.
In late 2020 with bp Reinvent, this organization was newly formed by joining Revenue, Joint Venture, Division of Interest, and Production Allocations. ROMA stands for Revenue, Ownership, Measurement and Allocation.
The key purpose of the ROMA team is to ensure volumes are correctly valued and reflected in all aspects of reporting. This means a variety of things including assuring bpx gross margin and production volumes reported in financials. A key deliverable for this role is to expand the transformation agenda, embedding efficiencies and supporting efforts to improve support services. Moving the organization from a reactive problem-solving mode to proactive and analytical.
This manager has 5 direct reports comprised of 2 team leads (one for revenue and joint venture and one for division of interest) and 3 functional experts.
This manager reports directly to the Head of Control for bpx and is part of the bpx ARC Leadership Team.

Role Synopsis
The Environmental Engineer (Air) is the subject matter expert on state and federal air quality regulations, provides expertise to ensure activities remain in compliance with rules and regulations, advises on policies and procedures to meet regulatory and bpx requirements, and communicates these requirements consistently and effectively across the business. The Environmental Engineer (Air) executes the permitting, regulatory and compliance strategy to support development and operations activities, develops and supports air quality best management practices and prepares and submits emission inventories and other air-related reports both internally and externally.
Key Accountabilities
Understand various regulations and communicate requirements and practices to internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with BP corporate requirements and agency rules and regulations.
Coordinate, prepare and submit air permit applications and associated technical documents.
Facilitate and lead air compliance programs including, but not limited to, equipment inventory, engine stack testing, gas and liquids sampling and LDAR IR camera inspections.
Review conditions of approval, provide support and assistance to development and operations teams to ensure compliance obligations are understood and met.
Get along with external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory agencies) to ensure and maintain air quality and GHG compliance.
Coordinate, prepare and submit compliance paperwork, documentation and reports for local, state and federal compliance, such as EPA New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), Subpart JJJJ, Subpart OOOO/OOOOa/OOOOb; NESHAP Subpart HH, Subpart ZZZZ; and GHGRP annual reports (Subparts W, C), including performing engineering calculations and modeling.
Facilitate and lead environmental compliance database data quality improvements and business process flow standardization.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, legal, policy and regulatory) to proactively identify, analyze, assess impact of, and develop mitigation strategies to manage, potential air emissions risks and policies.
Provide air compliance technical support on the implementation of emission reduction efforts.
Make dedicated trips to the field to work with operations personnel to achieve air compliance, improve air quality and gain a better understanding of operations.
Coordinate air quality permit and compliance third-party audits.
Assist with the development of air quality best management practices and business processes.
Prepare GHG emissions reduction estimates for new projects, prepare monthly updates and prepare and submit internal GHG reports.
Provide environmental support and guidance (air, waste and water) through electronic Management of Change (eMOC) review or by direct request for projects to ensure compliance obligations are met.
Prepare and submit annual SARA Tier II reports and prepare and submit internal environmental (waste, water and biodiversity) reports.
Provide environmental technical knowledge and training to operations and engineering early in the planning process to proactively embed environmental considerations into design, planning, and implementation.
Provide project management, including preparing requests for proposals, work orders, and supervision of contractors.
Participate in and collaborate with applicable external environmental and regulatory workgroups and committees.
Essential Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant technical/science-related degree.
Essential Experience and Job Requirements
Eight or more years of environmental engineering with an emphasis on air quality in the oil and gas industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state air quality rules and regulations, including permitting and operations; specific experience with LDNR, TCEQ and EPA NSPS and Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule (Subpart W and NSPS OOOOb).
Awareness of air dispersion modeling software and inputs.
Working knowledge of engineering stimulation software (e.g., ProMax, HYSIS, GlyCalc) to model and estimate emissions.
Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly including proficiency supporting change within the organization; acts as a change agent within the business to promote growth and continuous process improvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills which include the ability to speak, write and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure and delivers information in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated personal and project management skills, including proactive in time management, planning ahead and problem solving.
Successful working independently and as a team player with the ability to build and maintain accountability and trust with all levels of company office and field staff and regulatory agency staff.

About the role
The Senior Principal Process Engineer will be responsible for supporting the startup and early-life operation of new renewable natural gas (RNG) plants at Archaea. This role will work closely with a team of engineers and plant operations personnel focused on delivering KPI's related to plant runtime and recovery. They will provide input to operating procedures and document any defects in plant design. They will be tasked with creating and implementing engineering solutions related to plant improvements.

Identify defects and vulnerabilities in plant design
Develop solutions to eliminate defects and vulnerabilities in new plants

Job Profile Summary

This role will support base management, reservoir management and reservoir development, in one existing producing or developing assets in Gulf of America region.
This role doesn't include any formal leadership, but there will be opportunities to lead projects within multi-discipline squads or geophysics community. Your line manager will be the GoA geophysics discipline leader. You will be deployed to one of the squads where day-to-day activities/deliverables will be prioritised by the squad leader and area development manager. You will also work in close collaboration with the wells unit and production management squads.
What you will deliver
Working with other Subsurface disciplines as part of a multidiscipline team. Integration with the Geologists, Petrophysicists, Reservoir Engineers, Production Engineers, Drilling and Completion engineers, etc.

Good communications skills
Established track record of delivery in the subsurface oil and gas industry
Proven track record of assimilating large, complex, and multi-dimensional datasets to produce coherent and logical geoscience understanding and conclusions
Superb understanding of seismic rock property fundamentals, Direct Hydrocarbon Indicators (DHI) and Amplitude Vs. Offset (AVO) analysis
Ability to assess the quality and suitability of seismic datasets across and formulate recommend courses of action
Working understanding of seismic acquisition and processing is a plus
Familiarity with risk and resource-based prospect evaluation
Familiar with exploration volumetric assessment

Exploration Geophysicist
Remote or Houston, TX Job
BP purpose is to deliver energy to the world today and tomorrow. A "reset bp" plans to grow the upstream with increasing investment in oil and gas to strengthen the portfolio, grow production and grow cash flow. We are planning to increase investment in exploration and exploration seismic to reload and enhance the oil and gas opportunity hopper - both within our existing regions as well as in regions and geographies where we do not currently have upstream activity. Exploration plan to drill ~40 wells globally over the next 3 years.
The Exploration Team is looking for a geophysicist and interpreter to support the exploration agenda of bringing forward exploration and appraisal opportunities that add value to bp. You will be responsible for characterizing the subsurface, undertaking regional basin evaluations, developing prospect and lead inventories and maturing prospects for drilling.
What you will deliver
Deliver integrated geological and geophysical descriptions and evaluations at regional, basin, play fairway, and prospect levels.
Deliver prospect and lead inventories
Mature selected opportunities into detailed integrated prospect descriptions including assured, risked volumetric assessments
Support well planning and well operations when drilling exploration prospects
Integrate post well results into subsurface models and undertake post-well evaluations.
Recommend technical work and data acquisition programs, including seismic surveys.
Support exploration seismic acquisition and reprocessing programmes and operations to deliver seismic data to interpreters desktop
Work across multiple time zones in an agile and flexible manner.
Coach and mentor junior geoscientists within the team.
Be a key person in leading integration with Global Subsurface Specialists (GSS) teams and Subject Matter Experts (SME's) in support of delivering a complete subsurface description and the associated volumes and risks.
Ensure the best processes are applied at the appropriate level and focus on the key technical and business issues
What you will need to be successful
In addition to a Degree (or equivalent) in Geology / Geophysics, candidates should also demonstrate:
A sound understanding of integrated petroleum geoscience exploration fundamentals.
Exploration experience from a variety of basins and depositional system settings.
Strong integrated geoscience skills and ability to work with all forms of geological as well as geophysical data.
A sound knowledge of seismic interpretation, seismic attributes, depth conversion seismic rock properties, AVO, and DHI.
Assimilate to produce coherent geoscience understanding and conclusions.
A creativity and flexible approach and be comfortable with creating integrated ideas, interpretation and models both from large, complex, and multi-dimensional datasets and form sparse limited and occasionally poor quality datasets.
