The position will also provide hydrogeology support to the Water Resources Business Line. This position is based out of Stantec's West Palm Beach office. The Hydrogeologist will report to a Hydrogeologist Team Leader and will be responsible for designing, supporting, and executing hydrogeological investigations for dewatering, water supply, and aquifer recharge studies for water supply clients. This candidate also will be responsible for leading a large capacity production well design and construction projects. The successful candidate should have a background in drilling groundwater production wells, familiar with deep injection well construction, ability to oversee and support groundwater flow modeling, field investigations, conduct aquifer performance tests, project management, and technical report writing. Conduct monthly and/or quarterly or as needed compliance bacteriological sampling from Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) Non - Transient Non-Community, Transient Non-Community, and Community water systems at regular intervals and in number proportionate to the population served, in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 62 -550 FAC and 62-555 FAC. and National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) standards. Perform required field test and record data on appropriate form for each sample collected. Conduct main clearances, complaint investigations of public and private water systems, and mortgages requests, as soon as possible, or at least within 72 hours of notification. Collect water samples for bacteriological analysis as necessary.
