Our Earth & Environment Team is seeking a full-time Environmental Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 work out of our Buffalo, NY office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program. This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 18th, 2026. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible. Your Impact Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills. Learn basic principles of Environmental Engineering. West Valley Cleanup Alliance is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1B Deactivation & Demolition Contract at the West Valley Demonstration Project site. Knowledge will be gained via practical application by supporting the WVDP Environmental Compliance and Reporting team in meeting its contract deliverables. The STEM intern will be given specific regulatory analysis and reporting tasks for review and comment by experienced site regulatory personnel, prior to submittal. We are currently seeking a Regulated & Hazardous Building Materials Professional with a preferred 1-3 years of experience to support our growing program. This position requires an intermediate level of technical working knowledge of New York State Code Rule 56, as well as other federal, state and local regulations pertaining to hazardous and regulated building materials.
