Join a team providing permitting strategy, environmental assessment and application preparation, and technical support for projects that require municipal, provincial/state, and federal environmental approvals and licenses. We help our clients identify constraints and respond to opportunities within the changing regulatory and corporate environment through active engagement with the public, stakeholder groups, and government regulators. Our team members are involved in a variety of projects that may include Waters of the U.S. (WOUS) delineations and permitting, endangered species habitat assessments and surveys, NEPA, siting and routing studies, stream assessments and sampling, habitat restoration, siting and zoning applications, and complex planning and permitting for a variety of industries including renewable energy, transportation, power, government, and development. Your Key Responsibilities - Support projects and key client relationships-from residential and commercial permitting, mitigation/conservation banking, water resources, transportation, natural gas pipelines, Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facilities, solar facilities, and other energy related projects. - Lead permitting efforts at the local, state, national, and federal level including agency coordination with United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), following NEPA, Endangered Species Act (ESA), and Clean Water Act (CWA), etc compliance. - Lead teams that collect and report on tasks that include, wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat characterizations, land use mapping and vegetation cover classification, and other natural resource-focused surveys. Coordinate agency communications, oversee technical assessments, and guide project teams through successful execution. - Initiates, prepares and reviews proposals, including fee estimation, project set-up and execution of work with senior management assistance. - Assist with preparing work plans, assembling project team, delegating tasks and ensuring compliance with scope and timely completion of tasks. - Establishes and maintains quality assurance plans and safety plans for assigned projects. - Provide mentorship to early-career and mid-level staff, with potential opportunities for direct supervision. Your Capabilities and Credentials: - Thorough understanding of technical environmental impact analysis methods and sound knowledge of NEPA requirements and related environmental regulations (Section 401, 402, and 404 of the Clean Water Act). - Solid knowledge of environmental compliance requirements as they relate to public and private infrastructure (transportation, renewable energy, and oil/gas/energy) projects. - Working knowledge of agencies including BIA, BLM, USACE, USFWS, State DNR/DEP/DEQ/DOT, FHWA, FAA. - Working knowledge of FERC and FERC permitting processes is preferred. - Demonstrated skill and commitment to QA/QC practices. - Demonstrated experience or willingness to manage multiple projects and ability to motivate self and others to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. - Demonstrated ability in collaborative problem-solving with stakeholders, clients, and teammates. - Demonstrated leadership in striving to continuously improve technical performance. - Requires flexibility to travel as needed for project and fieldwork.
