This position is an experienced technical position for a **Senior Environmental Engineer** . A **Senior Environmental Engineer** works independently and is capable of managing new or complicated issues with collaboration as needed with other subject matter experts and functional areas.

+ Responsible for developing/maintaining/supporting robust and consistent environmental stewardship program strategies in support of GM's mission to deliver sustainable solutions that improve the communities in which we live and work.

+ Key collaboration with plant management and employees, Facility Managers, regulatory agencies, internal and external community leaders and members, legal staff, GM and external audit services, utility service providers, Project Planning teams at sites & HQ, domain experts and chemical and resource management business partners.
**Your Skills & Abilities**
+ Bachelor's degree with a major in Engineering or related sciences field.
+ 5 years' experience in Environmental Engineering and understanding of manufacturing and/or non-manufacturing operations, with multiple rotations between environmental programs (air, water, waste) and/or between locations.
+ Experience and working knowledge of Air Permitting, Storm Water Permitting, Wastewater Pretreatment Permitting and/or Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Requirements or related media.
+ Demonstrated expertise in more than one environmental discipline or a highly developed ability in one specialty area.
