Key Responsibilities
* Project management for environmental site assessment, remediation, and re-use planning projects.

* Support business development and proposal preparation including preparing detailed scopes of work and cost budgets.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* B.S. or M.S. in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related fiele.
* At least 8 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or regulatory work.
* Expertise in completing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM International Standard Practice E1527-21 "Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I ESA Process"
* Knowledge of Ohio's Voluntary Action Program (VAP) and Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) rules, regulations, and guidance.
* Ability to interpret site plans and physical setting maps
* Strong communication and technical writing skills

The Vespel team is seeking an **Environmental Specialist** at the **Circleville, Ohio** facility - 30 miles south of Columbus, Ohio. This role will work with a diverse team to support the manufacturing of Vespel Polyimide Resins.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Serve as the technical expert on matters relating to air pollution control, water and waste infrastructure, associated regulatory compliance programs, and emissions.
+ Prepare permit applications including renewals and modifications.
+ Interpret local, state and federal environmental regulations then develop and implement environmental compliance programs, inspections, and guidance documents to ensure site compliance.

+ Conduct facility training sessions as it relates to Air, Water and Waste regulations to ensure compliance and enhanced awareness.
+ Environmental Management Representative that ensures compliance/adherence to the corporate defined ISO14001 requirements.
+ Lead Sustainability programs and reporting.
+ Implementation of a detailed, task level, day-to-day, EH&S work process, standards, and procedures, and other job duties, as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical degree from an accredited program, or equivalent work experience. Relevant coursework in environmental regulations, compliance, and sustainability is beneficial.
+ Minimum of 3 years applicable experience showing proficiency in permitting and compliance along with multimedia environmental compliance audits, and environmental management systems, (preferred experience working in the state of Ohio).
+ Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
+ Certifications related to Environmental Management Systems (e.g., ISO 14001 lead auditor, RCRA, NPDES, etc.) are highly desirable.
+ Excellent technical writing abilities.
+ Ability to establish effective working relationships with contractors, co-workers, and other professionals.

Who You Are

Basic Job Functions:

Verdantas is seeking a Staff Hydrogeologist II for our Dublin, Ohio, location.
What You'll Do:
Review and create Health and Safety Plans for job sites and be responsible for personal and team safety in the field, including subcontractors
Communicate and engage with team members and clients as required to ensure project metrics and timelines are met
Perform fieldwork including borehole logging, soil sampling, observation of well installation, geophysical testing, monitoring well sampling, aquifer testing, and pilot testing
Travel to project sites on a regular basis to perform the above responsibilities. Most travel is by field vehicle
Demonstrate strong written, oral, and analytical skills
Perform computations, process data, and perform documentation using computer software or other established methods
Assist in preparing technical reports to document project findings, conclusions, and recommendations
Assist in preparing geologic and hydrogeologic cross-sections and maps, and other illustrations for data interpretation and presentation
Collect and interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing, and other methods
What You Bring:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Geology, Environmental Studies, or Environmental Science with a geology focus from an accredited institution
3-5 years of relevant experience. An advanced degree or cooperative education may count toward experience
A combination of office and outdoor work environment. When in an outdoor environment, the employee is subject to significant walking distances in uneven terrain, dirt, varying temperatures, weather conditions, wildlife, and noise
Must be willing to travel a minimum 50 % of the time
Must have a valid driver's license
Salary Range:
Starting at $58,000.00
