Primary responsibilities will include performing various inspections and field work. Under the mentoring and management of a Project Manager, this professional will be responsible for projects that support regulatory compliance and construction activities relating to hazardous building materials (asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, etc.), soil, groundwater, radon, and indoor air quality; and the preparation of reports and other project related documents. Primary responsibilities will include research, the completion of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, field activities related to the investigation and remediation of soil and groundwater, and the preparation of reports and other project related documents. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum requirements for this position include a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in fields of environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, or other related fields. Three years (or more) of experience working in the environmental consulting/management industry preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for this position. Completion of a 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER training program and a strong knowledge base regarding the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Remediation Standard Regulations (RSRs) and the Connecticut Property Transfer Act would be considered a plus.
