About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Field and Office Task Management

Environmental Monitoring and Remediation
Oversee soil and groundwater monitoring, sampling, and remediation activities.
Ensure compliance with Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits.
Project Management
Complete project tasks and deliverables within the defined scope, budget, and schedule.
Review and approve technical documents, reports, and CAD drawings for accuracy and compliance.
Project Planning & Coordination
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and external consultants.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Technical Review and Documentation
Review technical documents and reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
Provide technical oversight and quality control for environmental assessments and deliverables.

The candidate will provide technical support to the Natural Resources Conservation and Endangered Species Act compliance programs at Fort Jackson to include endangered species conservation, wildland fire, forestry, and other wildlife management.
The candidate must have a clear understanding of the biological principles and theories of forestry and wildlife management, and the ecological management of the longleaf pine ecosystem and be able to identify the flora and fauna of the southeastern United States.
Primary job duties include:
Conducting RCW nest monitoring and group composition surveys.
Conducting annual RCW tree inventory and cavity assessments.
Painting and tagging RCW trees and signing cluster buffers.
Installation of artificial cavities (both inserts and drill cavities).
RCW data management including updating existing MS Access databases and Excel tracking sheets.

Candidate must be a U.S Citizen, have a current driver's license, be able to pass a background security investigation, and have an original copy of their birth certificate. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday in 8 hour shifts. Schedule will be determined by work activities and may exceed 8 hours in one day. Occasional weekend or holiday work may occur.
Ability and willingness to work in challenging field conditions, including, but not limited to dense vegetation, long days and hot, humid weather. Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations as well as Triumvirate's Health and Safety practices
Preparation of chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including creation of all federal/state waste documents and managing the paperwork for the material.
Safe handling of hazardous waste containers on client sites, as well as loading/unloading of waste from vehicles
Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections.
Occasionally perform and document Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits for clients.
Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Champion our commitment to the WOW! by providing outstanding support and innovative solutions to our clients
Develop a high-level of state and federal regulatory expertise ensuring our client's compliance needs are met (e.g RCRA, DOT, and OSHA)
Conduct spill response measures, including the assessment of the spills and cleanup efforts
Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the hazardous-waste industry, or relevant military experience
Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually
Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional exchanges of information
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies to achieve positive outcomes
Skilled in building strong, positive relationships with clients and colleagues
Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
Ability to complete a 2 to 3 year professional advancement program in hazardous waste management
The Environmental Specialist frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive
Must be able to report to the Raleigh office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
Valid US driver's license
Must have a reliable form of transportation
Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment

Duties and Responsibilities
Animal Husbandry & Exhibit Care
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly care to our animal ambassadors under the supervision of the Head Naturalist.
Maintain animal enclosures, ensuring clean, safe, and enriching habitats.
Monitor temperature, humidity, and environmental conditions.
Feed and safely handle snakes, turtles, and alligators as part of daily care routines.
Conduct water quality testing, water changes, and necessary maintenance.
Guest Programs & Interpretive Experiences
Lead engaging nature programs and guided experiences, such as Kayaking Tours, Birding, Gatorology, Beach Walks, and more.
Teach guests about local wildlife and barrier island ecology (training provided-no prior ecology experience required).
Deliver memorable guest interactions with professionalism, enthusiasm, and curiosity.
Collaborate closely with Recreation staff and interns at the Nature Center.
Assist with school groups, special events, Camp Fripp programming, and select recreation activities.

Provide excellent customer service, including answering calls, taking reservations, and processing sales transactions.
Communicate courteously and professionally with guests, staff, vendors, and property owners.
