Complete and/or support technical projects related to environmental due diligence and environmental compliance, including but not limited to:
Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
Permit application development (e.g., air emissions, storm water discharges, wastewater discharges, etc.)
Environmental plan development and updates, such as Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans (HWCPs)
Environmental compliance reporting, such as air emissions reporting, hazardous waste generator reporting, and Emergency Planning Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) reporting (i.e., Tier II and Form R)
Conduct facility and site visits to gather information for written project work
Write technical reports and support development of client proposals
Work with various industrial clients
Comprehend and interpret regulations and guidelines
Develop working relationships and communicate effectively with supervisor, project directors, project managers, project team members, clients, and regulators
What you will bring to the team:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, or equivalent from an accredited university

Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus

**A DAY IN THE LIFE**
IDEAL CANDIDATES will have an intimate understanding of oil and gas field operations (experience working in an O&G facility would be a definite asset) and have experience in performing hydrocarbon fugitive emission and /or leak detection projects. Our US offices are located in Denver, CO, Houston, TX and Pittsburgh, PA; however, this opportunity is a 100% field position and will require extensive travel throughout the USA. This position will focus on our clients in the USA (EPA Subpart VV, VVa, KKK, OOOO, OOOOa, and W compliance) but may also require occasional travel to work on projects in Canada or other international locations. The FE Technician will report to the FE Team Lead. The successful candidate will be required to take a number of safety training courses prior to initiating any field activities (CPR/1St Aid, H2S Alive, WHIMIS/TDG, Fall Protection etc.). Any candidates that already have valid training tickets will be given preference. This position includes a comprehensive safety and technical training program (both field and office based). This position offers a unique opportunity to join a successful Environmental Engineering firm and work with a industry leading technologies used to detect and measure methane gas emissions.
As a key member of the Fugitive Emission (FE) team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

Environmental Geologist
Environmental Scientist Job In Little Rock, AR
The Environmental Geologist is responsible for the field implementation of work plans during conventional soil and/or groundwater investigations and during emergency responses and will work closely with clients, regulators and CTEH personnel to evaluate soil and groundwater environmental concerns. The Environmental Geologist will typically prepare written investigation plans, oversight of subcontractors and personnel during subsurface drilling, installation of groundwater monitoring wells and sample collection of soil, groundwater, vapor and surface water samples. They will provide technical advice and documentation to the client and coordinate with field personnel, Data Managers, and the Quality Department to ensure quality environmental data collection and reporting. They will provide onsite coaching and training to field personnel to ensure necessary tasks are conducted competently and to a high degree of quality. They will work closely in the development and maintenance of CTEH's Environmental Response Program and with CTEH ER leadership to ensure environmental response preparedness. They will support client preparedness through training and participation in exercises and drills, as needed, as well as coordinate with the Sales team to grow CTEH's environmental services. The Environmental Geologist will be available for emergency responses and may require frequent, extended travel, or serve as on-call as part of overall response readiness. The Environmental Geologist will report to the Director of Response Consultants.

ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE
Supports all programs within the CTEH Emergency Response Division on emergency response and traditional environmental remediation projects.
Performs as an Environmental Geologist on Environmental Response Projects with limited oversight.
May assume key environmental roles during responses and exercises, coordinating closely with client and agency personnel.
Prepares soil/groundwater/vapor intrusion written work plans and ensures they are followed in the field.
Soil logging using the Unified Soil Classification System.
Coordinates with Project Managers, Data Managers, and Quality Dept. to ensure data deliverables are timely and of high quality.
Assists in the development and implementation of CTEH's Environmental Response Program.
Supports internal preparedness for environmental responses, including the provision of environmental response training, identification of equipment needs, and development of document templates.
Provides training and other technical consulting to clients relative to his/her expertise.
Must be able to interpret large data sets to achieve regulatory cleanup goals.
Performs such other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CREDENTIALS
Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent, plus 5+ years of related field experience including soil and groundwater investigations, soil and groundwater remediation and long term monitoring of environmental projects
Advanced computer skills in a Windows-based platform
Significant project management experience, preferably in emergency response
Must have a current RPG, LPG or PE license (required)
Must have an OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification and current 8 hour annual certification (required)

Summary
The Forester is responsible for supervising staff and managing and protecting the forests of assigned counties or multi-county areas. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
Functions
Supervises a small staff of forestry workers by interviewing and recommending the hiring, training, and assigning of incumbents and evaluating performances. Examines and evaluates landowner's property and prepares timber management plans with recommendations for enhancing timber production, soil conservation, disease and insect control, and landowner objectives. Approves invoices and expenditures within assigned areas and maintains multi-county budget. Maintains forestry accomplishment data required for federal reimbursement. Provides advice and technical assistance to landowners enrolled in state or federal forestry cost share and grant programs. Ensures that silviculture practices are completed in compliance with program standards and scientific forestry practices. Plans and supervises forestry projects, such as determining the type, number, and placement of trees to be planted, managing tree nurseries, thinning forest, and monitoring growth of new seedlings. Analyzes effects of forest conditions on tree growth rates and tree species prevalence and determines the yield, duration, seed production, growth viability, and germination of different species. Directs or performs mapping, measuring, and marking timber in the area specified and computes volume for harvest. Directs fire suppression efforts by assigning fire crews and coordinates efforts with other organizations and with agency personnel. Summary
The Forester is responsible for supervising staff and managing and protecting the forests of assigned counties or multi-county areas. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
Functions
Supervises a small staff of forestry workers by interviewing and recommending the hiring, training, and assigning of incumbents and evaluating performances. Examines and evaluates landowner's property and prepares timber management plans with recommendations for enhancing timber production, soil conservation, disease and insect control, and landowner objectives. Provides advice and technical assistance to landowners enrolled in state or federal forestry cost share and grant programs.
