KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas is looking for a Meteorologist!! This position will be responsible for the content of the weather cast on-air and on our digital platforms. You will issue warnings and alerts, produce graphics and maps, and report live during weather events. You must be able to utilize social media during severe weather, as well as write weather stories. You will be expected to produce content on a variety of platforms including, internet, social networking sites, and mobile phones, in addition to television. You must have excellent time management skills.
The main day to day responsibilities of the role will include…
Forecasting, Producing and Presenting clear and concise weather casts, which tell a story and connect with viewers
Issue warnings and alerts, produce graphics and maps, and report live during weather events
Utilize social media during severe weather, as well as write weather stories
Make public appearances on behalf of the station
Work with producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday situations

Ability to tell memorable and meaningful stories, we value visual and compelling storytelling
Ability to demonstrate experience with active and visual live shots
In Depth Knowledge of forecasting
Sharp news judgement and exceptional writing skills

A Junior EnvironmentalScientist (EnvironmentalScientist II) participates as a member of an emergency response team to conduct environmental sampling and data collection. In performing such duties, a Junior EnvironmentalScientist will conduct research or perform investigations for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminating sources of pollutants or hazards that affect either the environment or the health of the population. Utilizing their knowledge of various scientific disciplines, they may collect, synthesize, study, report, and act based on data derived from measurements or observations of air, food, soil, water, and other sources. The successful candidate will apply scientific methodology for analysis of risk assessments and industrial hygiene applications to ensure the client's expectations are met. All Junior EnvironmentalScientist's shall maintain a response bag with company issued PPE and appropriate work clothing. This role is also subject to on-call rotation for emergency response and frequent, extended travel. The on-call rotation duties may extend to satellite offices as necessary. Travel on a moment's notice may extend further than just the on-call rotation i.e. in the event a response requires more CTEH staffing support.

Advanced computer skills in a Windows-based platform is a must

Summary of Job Duties:
The Assistant Staff Scientist is responsible for the daily management and operations in the Bioanalytical Core facility at UAMS, which is administered in the UAMS College of Pharmacy. The Core supports the research community at UAMS and beyond by providing liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry analyses for the detection and quantification of small molecules and heavy metal/trace elements in diverse samples. The Assistant Staff Scientist will be responsible for the communications with existing and new core users, oversee the maintenance of core equipment under standard operating procedures, develop and optimize liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) methods and protocols for small molecule detection and quantification, train core staff in method development and operation of Core equipment, collect, analyze, and interpret data from experiments, and prepare poster and oral presentations of Core services. The Assistant Staff Scientist interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed, demonstrates effective communication skills, communicates accurate and complete information, and maintains strict confidentiality when necessary, providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
Master's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with specialization in analytical chemistry.
* Post-Doctoral fellowship experience
* A minimum of three years of hands-on experience with multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) for targeted mass spectrometry is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven expertise in mass spectrometry techniques, including sample processing in blood and various animal tissues, as well as project management.
Responsibilities:
* Design and optimize analytical methods and protocols for mass spectroscopy analyses.
* Ensure that new methods are robust and reliable for research applications, including method validation and troubleshooting.
* Collaborate with research teams to plan experiments, review progress, and communicate findings. Provide technical advice and support to ensure research objectives are met.
* Lead working meetings of Core personnel. Train Core personnel in method development, sample preparation, and data acquisition.
* Prepare biological and environmental samples for analysis, employing techniques such as liquid-liquid extraction, sonication, bead milling, solid phase extraction, and microwave digestion to ensure accurate data collection.
* Process analytical data from initial acquisition through final analysis.
* Utilize software packages for data handling and perform quality assurance and control checks to ensure the integrity of the data.
* Operate and maintain mass spectrometers and associated equipment.
* Perform routine maintenance, calibration, tuning, and cleaning of instruments to maintain optimal performance.
* Assist in writing sections of grant proposals and research papers related to core services.
* Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through scientific publications and presentations.

* Direct site activities and maintain continuous communication with subordinate field staff and senior managers. Discuss how changes at the site could affect the project outcome or budget with the project Principal.
* Independently prepare reports to be reviewed by senior managers.
* Communicate with junior staff to direct field work performed by drill crews, test pit crews and assist with rig access issues on groundwater and soil investigations. Perform media sampling as required on the project. Ensure the site is restored prior to demobilizing the site. Ensure that the scope of work performed matches the scope of work proposed.
* Under the guidance of senior managers, develop site work plans including sample/boring locations, equipment needs, safety requirements and subcontractor logistics that account for client goals for the project.
* Assist with remediation system installation, operation, and maintenance. Communicate with the project Principal any onsite conditions that may impact the scope, budget, or technology needed onsite.
* Manage underground storage tank assessments. Ensure properly licensed individuals are performing the work and that ECS safety protocols are followed.
* Support Assistant's and Staff Project Managers/Consultants in their development and oversee technicians
* Other duties as assigned.

**Job Description**
Join Olsson's Industrial Environmental team as an **Environmental Project Engineer** and be part of creating innovative solutions that drive positive change in communities. In this role, you will apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields. The project engineer is a registered professional engineer, whose supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. The project engineer supervises, coordinates, and reviews work of engineers or technicians and performs complex or novel assignments that require development of new and improved techniques and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepares planning and design documents in appropriate engineering discipline.
+ Coordinates assistant and associate professional staff and technical staff's work; may supervise lower-level staff.
+ Performs process design calculations, prepares cost estimates, and uses economic analyses for comparison of alternatives.
+ Develops project scope of work; develops project schedule; prepares project initiation paperwork; manages budget reviews and schedules progress reports.
+ Coordinates projects with other Olsson teams; performs and coordinates design aspects of projects; directs team members on design tasks; maintains project records (correspondence, drawings, and files); coordinates with clients; attends client meetings.
+ Manages the preparation of technical reports, memos, and summaries to effectively communicate findings to clients and internal teams.
+ Serves as project manager for projects.
+ Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
+ Assist with marketing / business development and prepare project proposals.

+ Proficiency with engineering tools, software, and methodologies.
+ Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
