Core Functions
As an Environmental Technician, you will be learning in an apprentice fashion. You will play a crucial role in performing industrial and environmental cleaning by operating specialized equipment such as vac trucks, jetters, 20k blasters, pressure washers, etc. in order to clean tanks, process pipelines, lagoons, sediment ponds, perform confined space entry, fill, swap and service RNG/BIOGAS media beds, tanks and vessels and various other industrial and environmental cleaning duties that our clients require. We are looking for people who are self-driven and dedicated to improvement. Your responsibilities will include:
Operating water jetting & blasting equipment to clean industrial infrastructure, various equipment and facility components.
Using Vac Truck in order to clean vessels, pits, tanks, ponds, lagoons and other various industrial & environmental facilities and their infrastructure, site cleanup, debris and sludge removal.
Perform Confined Space Entry in order to perform Tank Cleaning.
Use of hand tools.
Maintaining and cleaning equipment to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
Adhering to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, safety goggles, and gas meters.
Inspecting surfaces and equipment before and after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
Reporting maintenance needs or equipment damage to supervisors promptly.
Collaborating with maintenance teams to coordinate cleaning and blasting activities efficiently.
Assisting in training new employees on company procedures as needed.
Requirements
General Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience with environmental & industrial cleaning is a plus but not required training provided!
Understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle demanding tasks.
Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability are a plus.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in outdoor industrial environments, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals.
Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Ability to work various shifts and weekends as needed.
Overnight travel required up to 50% of the time.
Ability to work 8-12 hour shifts, more if required on occasion.

Responsibilities
As the new Environmental Specialist for REAL ALLOY, you will directly support the development, deployment and execution of Real Alloy corporate and site environmental programs and related environmental management systems. In this position, you will use your environmental education and experience to provide guidance and problem solving to the corporate environmental team and site leaders on environmental regulations, requirements, and best practices that impact the business.
Additional responsibilities include:
Assist the corporate environmental team with technical input, guidance and communications on compliance issues with local, state, federal and provincial environmental regulations and environmental permits to business, regional and site leaders.
Work closely with the corporate environmental team and site leaders to develop and improve environmental procedures, control plans, standard work, and data collection methods for air, water and waste management programs.
Assist the corporate environmental team with identifying and analyzing environmental requirements, risks, and solution options and supports the implementation of agreed upon strategies.
Prepare, submit and/or review environmental reports as necessary for the business and/or operating locations to regulatory agencies.
Analyze environmental data, perform trend analysis, and identify preventative and corrective actions to maintain compliance.
Develop and update training materials for environmental programs.
Participate in periodic compliance reviews and audit of Real Alloy operations including NESHAP/RRR audits, HSE Standard audits and ISO 14001 audits as necessary.
Assist the corporate environmental team in resolving environmental non-compliances, notices of violations, complaints and enforcement actions.
Research and provide guidance to the corporate environmental team and site leaders regarding the design, development, implementation, review, and maintenance of environmental controls and management systems.
Assist corporate environmental with the negotiation of environmental permit terms, stipulations, and operational conditions to meet objectives for safe, efficient and compliant operations.
Participate in the planning and execution of site air performance testing events, as required.
Assist corporate environmental team in identifying continuous improvement opportunities and development and execution of action plans to improve environmental programs and processes.
Qualifications
Environmental Specialist
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or other STEM-related field and 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing or consulting environment.
Strong communication skills - written and verbal. Ability to accurately write reports, communicate verbally with management and hourly employees, provide constructive feedback and maintain positive employee relations.
Must have knowledge of environmental regulations, consensus standards and best practice with demonstrated success in effective implementation of compliance and control plans.
Demonstrated ability to attain and continually improve environmental performance while attaining good business results.
Position is located in Cleveland Ohio at the Real Alloy headquarters. Travel up to 50%.

OHM Advisor's Environmental and Water Resources Group (EWRG) is a diverse 55+ person team looking for an experienced individual with a passion for managing teams and strategies to restore ecosystems and build regional restoration capacity.
Your Responsibilities
As an Ecological Restoration Regional Lead/Project Manager for our EWRG in Ohio, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving ecological restoration efforts within Ohio and potentially elsewhere. The primary focus is the Northeastern part of Ohio, but also includes close collaboration with OHM Advisors' Columbus leadership. Growth is accomplished through working collaboratively with the Geographic Directors, Principals, and Client Representatives for existing clients, as well as identifying opportunities with new clients.
The Ecological Restoration Regional Lead will be responsible for creating proposals and managing the project. The Ecological Restoration Regional Lead will also work to build client relationships, ensure clients are satisfied, and secure follow-up EWRG services.
A successful candidate for the Ecological Restoration Regional Lead/Project Manager position is a strategic thinker who is team oriented, organized, and has strong technical skills. The candidate takes initiative, regularly works with stakeholders and clients, develops strategic plans, secures funding, and ensures projects are implemented effectively.
Craft and execute regional growth and program strategies for ecological restoration and services.
Work closely with Geographic Directors, Principals and Client Representatives to understand the local markets, client needs and communicate expertise.
Work closely with EWRG Practice Leaders and Technical Experts to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with clients, local organizations, watershed groups, and other regional partners to advance restoration goals.
Increase regional and local capacity to implement high-value restoration and protection areas.
Attract and cultivate funding and other resources to support restoration initiatives.
Prepare scope and act as a project manager on studies, reports, design and construction of stormwater systems, ecological services, stream and shoreline restoration, and green infrastructure.
Effectively communicate project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to project team, client and public.
Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers during project implementation.
Prepare and manage scope, schedule and budget for proposals and contracts.
Manage staff, sub consultants and expenses during project implementation.
Obtain repeat work from clients, including cross-selling services. Securing environmental water resources work with existing and new clients.
Understand OHM services and how they relate to client's organization and needs.
Anticipate project issues, including advising the client on alternatives and providing recommendations for solving issues.
Implement projects from scoping to completion including overall decision-making and QA/QC.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Ecology/Natural Resources related field required.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressively increasing responsibility experience in water resources, including managing projects and proposal writing.
2+ years' experience in a Project management role.
Professional credentials in Ohio or Michigan are desirable (PE, Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner, etc.).
A passion for growing and developing teams from infancy to maturity.
Familiarity with ecology-based restoration practices and NEPA environmental survey work.
Familiarity with hydraulic/hydrological modeling of stormwater and surface water systems.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills associated with the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel; AutoCAD and/or Revit, Bluebeam or other PDF software.
Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to solve challenging problems.
