Responsibilities
Preparation of ASTM-compliant Phase I / II ESAs
Site Investigations
Drilling/excavating contractor oversight, soil/groundwater/soil vapor sample collection
Soil logging/geologic formation
Soil sampling at various NYC agency sites
Use of field equipment (PID meters, Horibas/water pumps etc.)
Oversight of GW monitoring well installations
Construction activities oversight including excavations, monitoring well installations, UST investigations/closures, etc.
CAMP implementation and work zone monitoring
Field activity report writing
Assist project PMs with preparation of various summary reports and documents
8 hour shift
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field
1-2 years experience (entry level candidates will also be considered)
Must have a valid Driver's license and car (needed for field work)

Qualifications
To qualify, you must have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License. By law, you must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred qualifications are a TWIC Card and any experience driving box trucks. Hazmat endorsement for transporting waste is preferred (candidates will be expected to obtain a Hazmat endorsement as a condition of employment after hire). As you will interact with customers and internal staff. Fluency in English (verbal and written) will be important.
The successful candidate will be required to pass a DOT physical, drug test and DEA background check.

Transport hazardous waste materials from storage facilities within the facility as directed.
Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to RCRA and disposal guidelines.

Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
Inspection material handling equipment as directed.
Loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites utilizing appropriate equipment for which you are appropriately trained.

Prior work experience of 10 to 12 months in the hazardous waste or chemical industry in a related position with proficiency in handling forklifts and a variety of tools preferred
