This position is responsible for coordinating critical EHS programs and will provide expertise in environmental compliance, reporting and ISO14000 certification. This position supports efforts to prevent non-conformances or violations, and maintains compliance with all State, Federal, and Local regulations. This person will also support/assist site safety including process safety, auditing, and other safety initiatives. Your responsibilities: Leads site Air Quality program which includes reporting, testing, and permit compliance. Manages site ISO14000 program and maintains site certification. Responsible for auditing, training, promoting, and monthly updates on the status of the program. Conduct routine inspections of processes and areas as required by air permits and stormwater permits. Coordinate/conduct employee training in EHS programs. Manages the stormwater program including sample collection, promoting best management practices, and DMR submissions. Participates in process safety hazard reviews. Prepare and submit annual reporting for Tier II, TRI, NPDES, biennial waste, and 26Rs. Analysis of data for regulatory compliance including trending when necessary. Review new products or processes for compliance with permits and regulation Develop/maintain appropriate EHS policies and procedures. Able to write procedures and gain consensus from affected groups. Coordinate with regulators, functioning as primary contact when necessary. Drill / assist on emergency and spill response activities. Coordinates waste management program including, scheduling, reporting, inspecting, and waste determinations. Maintains the site SPCC/PPC plan. Manages EHS vendors, contractors, and consultants. Participate in internal and external audits. Other duties as assigned which include contributing to the site's overall EHS program, initiatives, and team needs. Requirements for the role: Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, or related field is required. At least 3-5 years' experience in EHS field in a manufacturing setting. Prior experience in environmental compliance and ISO14000. Knowledge and use of computer software & creating/maintaining spreadsheets Practiced in program coordination, scheduling, and overall organization. Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Frequently required to stand; walk; sit and use hands. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch.
