Who are we looking for? Our Central Region Environmental businesses in Plainwell, MI is looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through the coordination and implementation of a wide range of environmental solutions and projects. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications Interpretation/evaluation of environmental regulations Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation Management of clients Development of business opportunities Mentorship of staff What you will bring to the Team Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients Project experience with CERCLA is beneficial Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is required Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently Ability work in a fast-paced environment OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus #LI-JS1 Benefits: 401K - Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 3 months of service Paid time off - Our PTO benefit is designed to provide eligible employees with a period of rest and relaxation, sick, and personal time throughout the year. This position assists at the Outdoor Discovery Center, DeGraaf Nature Center, and other off site locations. The primary job responsibilities consist of assisting and leading natural history programs, summer camps, and caring for captive live animals. The Seasonal Naturalist is responsible for supporting the mission of the ODC Network through these activities in addition to being a positive representative of the organization in the community.
