Collects non-medical and medical waste, operates waste autoclave, labels medical waste containers for collection. Collects corrugated boxes. May include floor care maintenance and required equipment to maintain floors and carpeting. Responsible for linen distribution: stocking carts, delivery of clean linen and collection of soiled linen, putting clean linen away on shelves. Responds to house pages when assigned. RESPONSIBLE TO: Environmental Services Director/Supervisor MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS: GENERAL FOR EVERYONE Able to occasionally lift up to and sometimes exceeding 50 pounds. Able to stand for prolonged periods of time. Hours may flex due to needs of the department. Job requires continuous walking, grasping, frequent reaching and occasional bending, kneeling and squatting. No written disciplinary action in the last 12 months. Linen Carts and Deliveries, Delivery and stocking of linen carts. b. Stocking of Linen Shelves, Putting away linen received from linen supplier. c.
