Position Overview
Global Environmental & Industrial Response is seeking dedicated Environmental Technicians to join our Environmental Division. In this role, you will carry out daily field and industrial service activities safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. Technicians support a wide range of services, including emergency response, waste management, environmental remediation, and oil field operations.
Essential Functions
Perform physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
Identify, remove, load/unload, transport, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
Remain available for 24/7 emergency response on a rotating schedule.
Maintain all required training and certifications (DOT, OSHA, and company-specific).
Comply with ongoing and random drug testing and physical exams as required.
Participate actively in daily and weekly safety meetings to ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Properly maintain and operate company-issued equipment and tools.
Clean and decontaminate equipment, tools, and work areas as necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
Ability to properly use and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform strenuous labor
A valid drivers license with a clean driving record is required
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel out of town on short notice for extended periods

Under the supervision of an experienced team member, apply engineering skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks.
Collaborate with current engineering staff in the interpretation of engineering data, conduct engineering analyses, and perform calculations and modeling utilizing appropriate software packages.
Participate in field tasks including but not limited to collection of environmental samples from various media (e.g., groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, and gas). Assistance in implementing remedial actions designed by professional engineering staff.
Possess the ability to thoroughly and accurately summarize field data and present results to senior team members.
Basic Qualifications:
Attending an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
Preference is for candidate to have completed their Junior year in college with expected graduation in 2026.
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
Must be a self-starter, excel in time management, and work well under pressure.
Must be available to work in various settings such as in an office or remotely in the field, depending on project needs.
Ability to complete 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and wear proper personal protective equipment for work on hazardous waste sites. Lifting and physical work will be required.
Must be at least 18 years of age with a clean driving record.
Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA with at least 60 hours of coursework completed

Kleinfelder is currently seeking an Experienced Ecologist/Environmental Scientist to join our growing Tampa, FL office.
Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will assist with ecological field assessments for projects in the mining, energy, and commercial development industries. Primary tasks will include protected species surveys, vegetative monitoring, hydrologic monitoring, water quality sampling and support with other ecological assessments, as well as reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of the natural resources of Florida and a minimum of 2-5 years of applicable job experience.
Candidate should also possess strong time management, problem solving, communication, organizational skills, and have relevant computer/software experience. This position requires solid technical writing and verbal communication skills, including coordination with team members and project managers, as well as periodically with clients and regulatory agency staff.
Candidate will be required to go through and obtain an MSHA New Miner Training certificate as part of on-the-job training.
This position is anticipated to be 70% field work/30% office work. Travel (local/overnight) may account for up to 30%.
The ability to travel, both within Florida and nationwide, and a clear driving record are also required. Potential candidates should be able to work effectively in both team environments and with limited supervision. Candidates should have availability to work outside of typical business hours. Flexibility in daily work schedule and willingness to work long hours in adverse environmental conditions and in remote areas is required.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in the natural resources (i.e. biological, zoology, botany, ecology or environmental science).
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a natural resources professional is required.
Strong preference may be given to candidates having a FFWCC Gopher Tortoise Authorized Agent permit for surveying, bucket trapping and mechanical excavations.
Proficiency in use of Avenza, ESRI Field maps, a sub-meter GPS and data processing is also desired.
Experience operating a 4x4 truck preferred.

Kleinfelder is currently seeking an Experienced Ecologist/Environmental Scientist to join our growing Tampa, FL office.
Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will assist with ecological field assessments for projects in the mining, energy, and commercial development industries. Primary tasks will include protected species surveys, vegetative monitoring, hydrologic monitoring, water quality sampling and support with other ecological assessments, as well as reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of the natural resources of Florida and a minimum of 2-5 years of applicable job experience.
Candidate should also possess strong time management, problem solving, communication, organizational skills, and have relevant computer/software experience. This position requires solid technical writing and verbal communication skills, including coordination with team members and project managers, as well as periodically with clients and regulatory agency staff.
Candidate will be required to go through and obtain an MSHA New Miner Training certificate as part of on-the-job training.
This position is anticipated to be 70% field work/30% office work. Travel (local/overnight) may account for up to 30%.
The ability to travel, both within Florida and nationwide, and a clear driving record are also required. Potential candidates should be able to work effectively in both team environments and with limited supervision. Candidates should have availability to work outside of typical business hours. Flexibility in daily work schedule and willingness to work long hours in adverse environmental conditions and in remote areas is required.
Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree in the natural resources (i.e. biological, zoology, botany, ecology or environmental science).
* Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a natural resources professional is required.
* Strong preference may be given to candidates having a FFWCC Gopher Tortoise Authorized Agent permit for surveying, bucket trapping and mechanical excavations.
* Proficiency in use of Avenza, ESRI Field maps, a sub-meter GPS and data processing is also desired.
* Experience operating a 4x4 truck preferred.
