Overview
Ensure the products being produced and or shipped in the facility are meeting customer specifications and that all safety standards are met, per established corporate and plant guidelines and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures
* Keep work area clean and organized, per 5S standards
* Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures
* Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required
* Ensure all corporate and plant safety policies and procedures are being followed, escalate to the supervisor if not
* Reporting and documenting any quality issues to machine operator, supervisors, and upper plant management
* Collecting and cataloging samples retrieved from designated machines
* Performing random audits of skids and bales of finished goods to determine quality of product
* Perform quality testing in QA Lab for paper tensile strength, handle strength, ink rub resistance, bar code scanning, basis weight testing. Must have knowledge of or training on QA Lab equipment - tensile tester, Sutherland rub tester, bar code scanner, and gram scale
* Maintain total compliance with all OSHA and EPA regulations
* Assist with internal audits and inspections and enter into appropriate safety systems as required
* Participate in weekly safety meetings as per OSHA standards, and the plant safety committee, assisting as needed with goals and objectives from the group
* Assist with safety training for shipping/receiving and production employees
* Send out daily summaries of safety and quality issues at the end of shift, addressing where issues have been fixed and what needs further escalation
* Oversee GEMBA program, ensuring audits are completed as required and that any reoccurring or severe problems are addressed immediately. Ensure all updates are made in the appropriate system
* Maintain regular communication with all levels of employees, from floor level, up to Corporate Safety and Quality, through email, calls, and meetings
* Organize and lead food safety certification efforts
* Work with Corporate EHS Manager on plant safety and environmental issues
* Perform and document required Mobile Inspections
* Using Microsoft Excel, prepare reports and document test and audit results
* Assist in investigating customer complaints and help to resolve quality issues

Qualifications

Operate and maintain instruments and equipment.
Accurately document inspections in a timely manner with detailed field notes.
Adhere to all the safety requirements of the position while assisting team members to do the same.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualification Summary -Environmental Field Technician:
High school diploma (AS or BS degrees in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology or a related degree program preferred)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record with the ability to operate a company vehicle
Ability to detect, resolve and report equipment issues (strong electrical and mechanical aptitude preferred)

Role description:
Arcadis is seeking entry-level Archaeologists to support environmental planning projects (e.g. linear infrastructure projects) within Ohio and surrounding states. In this role, you will conduct archaeological field work for multiple projects and at all levels of investigation, from site identification to data recovery, and archaeological monitoring. You will work on projects that require shovel testing, pedestrian surveys, excavation, and site documentation. This role is currently a part-time as needed field position.
This position will require a candidate to work collaboratively with the Arcadis cultural resources team. Arcadis offers a flexible working environment and follows a hybrid work structure. However, this position will be a field position, so the successful candidate can expect to work remotely at the project site location, as needed. The ability to travel to various project sites, including overnight travel, will be required (field work expectations are approximately 90 to 100%).
Role accountabilities:
As an Archaeologist, you will apply your technical knowledge to support archaeological services over a range of sectors, including linear utilities, oil and gas, mining, rail and transit, and renewable energies. You will be a key cultural resources team member and work as part of an interdisciplinary environmental team. You will be responsible for conducting archaeological fieldwork.
This will require a working knowledge of GPS systems and the ability to walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, as well as carry supplies weighing up to 40 pounds. This will also require working in the field under a range of conditions (e.g., rugged and unfamiliar terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures).

Essential Job Functions
Respond promptly to service requests involving hazardous material cleanup, site remediation, and emergency spill response
Maintain health and safety as the top priority by strictly following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
Perform high-pressure water blasting and vacuuming in open areas and permitted confined spaces
Properly recognize and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts
Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures using an individual lock and key when working with hazardous energy sources
Clean work areas, properly dispose of debris, and ensure all equipment and materials are returned to the supply trailer before leaving a job site
Restock supplies used during the workday
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and equipment at the facility
Operate light and heavy equipment including pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, and forklifts
Perform emergency response activities such as chemical and water spill response, tank cleanings, and equipment decontamination
Wear respirators when required, including participation in fit testing, clean shaven for a secure fit
Meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and repetitive hand use
Work in all weather conditions and on customer sites, including heat, rain, cold, and snow
Maintain flexibility to work irregular schedules, long hours, weekends, holidays, and respond on short notice
Ability to recognize and identify hazardous and non-hazardous materials
Ability to follow verbal, written, and electronic instructions
Strong teamwork, reliability, and willingness to learn
Qualifications
