The primary task will be to assist in the operation of a small groundwater treatment plant located near the San Fernando Valley, CA. The responsibilities associated with this task include monitoring of day-to-day plant operations, performing on-site operations and system checks, preparing feed solutions, performing preventative maintenance, maintaining and providing minor repair for instrumentation and treatment equipment, maintain inventories for chemicals and other materials/parts, and responding to system shutdowns and alarms. Operator/technician must be capable of working independently and in cooperation with a second lead operator. The position requires a minimum of 1 year directly applicable experience in water and wastewater treatment operations or similar operations. Because the plant operates 24-7, the position does require on-call availability on weekends that is shared between the two operators, with as-needed support from our engineering staff. We anticipate that the plant will be in operation for at least the next 6 years. Location: Honolulu, HI - Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Additional tasks/skills associated with the position include:
Groundwater, surface water and soil sampling;
Collecting groundwater elevation data;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a project team.
Technical School diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience in related field technician position.
Self-sufficient and ability to work under the pressure of deadlines.
Oversee and work with subcontractors while performing work.
Basic understanding of the equipment and technology used to gather environmental samples and information in the field.
Good verbal communication skills.
Perform basic troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment
Help establish and drive improvement in health and safety standards including training, corrective actions and compliance.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Seeking Environmental Field Technician to perform environmental inspections, air monitoring, building surveys for asbestos-containing materials, lead paint, mold and other hazards.

+ Prepares chain of custody forms for analytical testing, recording survey data in approved forms.

Lead Technician Primary Responsibility:
- Supervise jobs to ensure the highest quality of service and work to our customers and their properties.
- Works directly with the Production Manager to manage and train technicians and technician assistants.
- Assess property damage, provide proper write up of job scope, prepare and present estimates when necessary.
- Complete jobs on time and turn in paperwork in a timely manner.
- Follow industry standards for water mitigation, mold remediation, and fire and biohazard restoration.
Other Duties Related to the Job:
- Transporting, setting up, and removing equipment all over the island to and from job sites
- Load and prepare vans
- Equipment and Warehouse maintenance/cleaning
- Engaging and speaking with customers
- Taking and uploading pictures and notes
Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years' experience in property restoration or similar field
- Experience with MICA, Xactimate, and Dash software preferred
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to get IICRC certified and continued education as required
- Have a valid driver's license
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to pass a minimal background check and drug test
- Must be able to pass a medical evaluation and fit test
- Willing to work on-call, after-hours rotation
