The Environmental Services Technician - Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness and servicing of an assigned area, care and cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, laundry and employee work areas at the nursing home. CDM Smith's Environmental Services Group is seeking an Engineer, Scientist or Geologist with a.) experience modeling contaminant transport through sediment caps and/or b.) a working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) in remediation projects combined with basic geotechnical engineering experience (significant academic coursework may suffice) related to remediation projects located anywhere within the United States. The candidate must have demonstrated expertise working independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team on remediation projects for a variety of clients including those in the Federal and Public sector. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for a higher grade level than what is proposed for this advertisement. Roles and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following regarding sediment remediation projects: - Understanding the scientific and engineering principles of modeling contaminant fate and transport through sediment caps in subaqueous systems.
