ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN LEAD Provide support to Environmental Manager and engineers with meeting regulatory compliance, safety, sustainability and ISO 14001 objectives. Technician Lead will provide supervision and support for the central wastewater treatment plant and sludge drying operations. Conduct wastewater and storm water sampling and compliance inspections of various pollution sources throughout the facility. Periodically offload bulk chemicals to support production operations. Support maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and safety initiatives. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN LEAD: Interact with department employees, safety coordinators, supervisors, or managers to ensure all Environmental compliance objectives are met. Perform compliance inspections as dictated by the facility permits and regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic compliance audits and process equipment inspections as dictated by the environmental permits and regulations. Some inspections will require overtime or weekend work. Provide support and supervision for the central wastewater treatment plant and sludge drying operations. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIRED FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN LEAD: High School Diploma and 8-10 years of experience or AA degree in an Environmental or Engineering discipline and 6-9 years of experience required. Four-year college degree in related safety science field or engineering, preferred. 3-5 years of Environmental or Engineering experience in a Manufacturing setting preferred. Job: EVS Technician Hours: Full-Time, Nights 10:30pm- 07:00am EOW, EOH Location: Lancaster General Hospital 555 N Duke Street Lancaster, PA 17602 Summary: + Position Summary: Under the direction of the Manager, Administrative Supervisor, the Maintenance Housekeeper maintains the hospital and hospital owned properties, refinishing scrubbing floors, shampooing bonnetting carpet and furniture as well as performing routing housekeeping functions. This includes all major housekeeping projects and moves as well as individual requests. + Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties: + Cleans all environmental surfaces including, but not limited to, furniture, beds, bathroom fixtures, window sills, door frames, vents, televisions, walls, covebase, light fixtures, and windows following universal precautions. + Refinishes floors, including machine scrubbing and floor stripping, and applies floor finish. + Wears and answers pager responding to routine requests. + Shampoos furniture and spots bonnetts extracts carpet, as necessary. + Possesses a working knowledge of universal precautions MSDS, and compactor recycling operations, and applies as necessary. + Disposes of, transfers, or stores hospital furniture, equipment, and supplies. + Removes, washes, and rehangs cubicle curtains, shower curtains, and window treatments. + Dries and wet mops rooms, hallways, stairs, bathroom, and offices. + The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above: + Gathers and disposes of refuse and soiled linen following universal precautions. + Maintains hospital property and equipment reporting anything in need of repair. + Other duties as assigned.
