Summary
Position Highlights:
Under the direction of an Environmental Services Supervisor, the Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for disinfecting areas to reduce the spread of bacteria and infection as well as providing an environment that appears clean, fresh, and polished. This position performs a variety of duties that support the department in maintaining a clean environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities:
* High touch surface disinfection and cleaning
* Properly clean and disinfect all types of areas including clinical inpatient/outpatient (patient rooms, exam rooms, nurse stations, etc.), support/common areas, offices, labs, conference rooms, elevators, stairwells, corridors, external grounds, etc.
* Handle and dispose of medical waste and sharps observing all required precautions, including properly tying and labeling bags.
* Use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment for each situation.
* Clean spills containing blood or other potentially infectious material using established infection control, safety, and ES departmental procedures.
* Occasionally may have to travel to off-site locations.
* Complete other duties as assigned.
* Policies and Procedures
* Follow departmental and other regulatory standards regarding all cleaning policies and procedures (using proper disinfectants, labeling chemical bottles, keeping an organized cart, etc.)
* Perform all essential functions following established safety and infection control requirements (perform hand hygiene, wear PPE, etc.)
* Follow instructions and guidelines set forth by Environmental Services management.

Position Overview

Essential Functions

Remain available for 24/7 emergency response on a rotating schedule.
Maintain all required training and certifications (DOT, OSHA, and company-specific).
Comply with ongoing and random drug testing and physical exams as required.
Participate actively in daily and weekly safety meetings to ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Properly maintain and operate company-issued equipment and tools.
Clean and decontaminate equipment, tools, and work areas as necessary.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Field Service Technician position is located in our Tampa, FL office.
As a key member of the Montrose Environmental Solutions team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Operates field monitoring equipment including but not limited to: PID/FID, pH, EC, DO, GEM, turbidity, water level, LEL meters, trimble (or other geolocating equipment)
Carefully documents monitoring and testing results on field forms and prepares field daily reports and data sheets
Collects samples using a variety of sampling methods
Conducts environmental collection, monitoring, sampling, testing and basic evaluation at various locations
Performs operations and maintenance (O&M) on environmental treatment equipment
Completes Chain-of-Custody forms and labels samples, strictly following regulatory handling and preservation protocols for various sample media and delivers samples to an environmental laboratory
Interacts with clients, presents a professional appearance, and wears appropriate PPE on job sites
Measures and records treatment operational data
Enters monitoring data from the field inspection forms into electronic spreadsheets in Word and/or Excel format
Ensures proper labeling and handling of hazardous material and waste
Communicates promptly with Project Managers to inform of site conditions and activities
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical system issues or failures
Manages proper disposal for hazardous material and waste.
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations,
including attendance at all required safety training programs
Participate in the company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts
Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced EnvironmentalTechnician with direct, hands-on experience supporting projects under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP).
This position involves field implementation of petroleum remediation projects, including operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of remedial systems, as well as environmental sampling and compliance with FDEP guidelines.
The ideal candidate is familiar with PRP workflows, deliverables, and regulatory requirements, and is comfortable working independently in the field while coordinating closely with project managers and engineers.
Responsibilities:
* Support petroleum remediation projects conducted under the FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP)
* Perform groundwater, soil, and soil vapor sampling in accordance with FDEP guidance and approved scopes of work
* Conduct system startup, monitoring, and optimization for remedial technologies including: Air Sparging, Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE), Dual-Phase Extraction, Pump-and-Treat, etc
* Collect field measurements including vacuum, pressure, flow rates, groundwater elevations, and contaminant screening data
* Perform routine inspection, operation, and preventative maintenance of remedial systems (O&M)
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues related to remediation equipment
* Replace and repair system components (pumps, blowers, compressors, piping, valves, control panels)
* Maintain system logs, O&M records, and maintenance documentation required for PRP reporting
* Comply with project-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and FDEP requirements
* Properly manage investigation-derived waste (IDW) in accordance with PRP and state regulations
* Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and sample integrity
* Participate in site safety meetings and regulatory inspections
* Prepare detailed field notes and assist with PRP deliverables and documentation
* Communicate system performance, site conditions, and corrective actions to project managers
* Support regulatory audits, site inspections, and contractor coordination as needed
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED (Associate's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred)
* Experience supporting FDEP PRP projects

Properly collects, documents, labels, transports, packages and ships water samples for laboratory analysis following sampling and survey techniques and procedures set forth by the state program office. Monitors state warning point for sanitary sewer overflows, as it relates to division water programs and corresponds with PIO, county, city or state officials involved.
Additional Duties:
* Performs site inspections and re-inspections, investigates complaints and sanitary nuisances, and prepares inspection reports accurately and within established timeframes for regulated food service establishments, public swimming pools and spas, mobile home and recreational vehicle parks/camps, adult living facilities, residential facilities, public and private schools, tanning facilities, to ensure compliance with the regulations of the Florida Statues, Florida Administrative Codes, County Ordinances and in accordance with Environmental Health Manual 150-4.

Position Overview
Global Environmental & Industrial Response is seeking dedicated EnvironmentalTechnicians to join our Environmental Division. In this role, you will carry out daily field and industrial service activities safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. Technicians support a wide range of services, including emergency response, waste management, environmental remediation, and oil field operations.
Essential Functions
Perform physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
Identify, remove, load/unload, transport, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
Remain available for 24/7 emergency response on a rotating schedule.
Maintain all required training and certifications (DOT, OSHA, and company-specific).
Comply with ongoing and random drug testing and physical exams as required.
Participate actively in daily and weekly safety meetings to ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Properly maintain and operate company-issued equipment and tools.
Clean and decontaminate equipment, tools, and work areas as necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
Ability to properly use and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform strenuous labor
A valid drivers license with a clean driving record is required
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel out of town on short notice for extended periods

$18.00 - $25.00 / hr.

APTIM is currently seeking an energetic and motivated environmental engineering intern to join our team of engineers and scientists in support various project activities. The successful candidate will be a hands-on student who is dedicated to learning while completing assigned tasks with both ingenuity and pragmatism. APTIM's internship program provides students with the opportunity to acquire real-world knowledge and skills that will help focus efforts on the most appropriate field of study. Interns will be paired with experienced engineering and science staff who will provide training on specific tasks, and also mentorship on the environmental assessment, remediation, and infrastructure business. This is a Temporary position.
The STRIVE Internship Program is a 12-week experience running from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026. Interns are required to be fully available during Week 1 (May 18--22) and Week 12 (August 3--7) of the program. Week 12 includes company-paid travel to an APTIM office (location to be announced) for an end-of-internship celebration.
Interns are expected to minimize absences to ensure a meaningful program experience. The program observes Memorial Day (May 25, 2026) and Independence Day (July 3, 2026, observed).
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Work tasks will be completed in the field at active project sites and in the office.
Dedication to learning applicable regulatory rules and guidance as well as company policies and procedures.
Works on straightforward tasks using established procedures. All work will be subject to review by experienced engineering and science staff.
Under the supervision of an experienced team member, apply engineering skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks.
Collaborate with current engineering staff in the interpretation of engineering data, conduct engineering analyses, and perform calculations and modeling utilizing appropriate software packages.
Participate in field tasks including but not limited to collection of environmental samples from various media (e.g., groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, and gas). Assistance in implementing remedial actions designed by professional engineering staff.
Possess the ability to thoroughly and accurately summarize field data and present results to senior team members.
Basic Qualifications:
Attending an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
Preference is for candidate to have completed their Junior year in college with expected graduation in 2026.
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
Must be a self-starter, excel in time management, and work well under pressure.
Must be available to work in various settings such as in an office or remotely in the field, depending on project needs.
Ability to complete 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and wear proper personal protective equipment for work on hazardous waste sites. Lifting and physical work will be required.
Must be at least 18 years of age with a clean driving record.
Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA with at least 60 hours of coursework completed
